character disappears in taxi but never arrives at work

As my char decided to go to work, she called a taxi , disappeared in it and now I just have the view on the taxi but nothing is loading.. On the career app, it already registered as 1 day at work but i just can't get her to get out of the car either. It's like the game progress is completely stuck. I can move and view the city but my char is nowhere to be found.

I've experienced it too. My zoi had a Navy career and he did exactly the same thing. But I figured it out. It's like a normal career in The Sims, where the employer's car shows up and takes your Sim to work. After shift ends, your Sim returns back home.
Not every career in InZOI is playable. It could been mentioned in game.

This mmeans Zoi is at work... like in sims 4 there are some jobs where you go yourself and some that are rabbit holes basically.

you can, the little suitcase beside your Zoi has several options to choose from

No, this is wrong. I had a firefighter go to work, I followed him to work the first day I saw where he worked. The next day he got in a cab and vanished. If i focused on him, it just went to the cab. He was not at his job.

ohh i see, i also was a firefighter but the job just cancelled itself after day 1, so i took an office job after that which is always taxi/rabbit hole which still counts as a day at work

This happened to me also. My Zoi was a journalist and just got in a taxi and then I stared at it while time crawled during her work hours. Same for volunteering at hospital to improve Karma. I really wish the "very fast" speed worked better. That speed seems to work pretty fast while my Zoi sleeps but any other time it's the same or slower than "fast" speed.

This mod lets you make time go what 100 to 1000 times faster. It also extends the life of your zois. It's the best solution for most common issues with time and stuff right now.

The first two full time jobs on the career list in each city you follow your zoi to work , The rest are all rabbit hole jobs , You can also follow your zoi to work at least some of the part time jobs like the surf store .
Some of the things zois get to do are also rabbit hole actions like giving blood

All these they get in the taxi and sit there until it is finished then they reappear
