Town Modifications?

Will we ever get the ability to modify town buildings or other zoi homes? I would like to make the town my own and it would be fun to be able to modify the bars, lounges, parks and things like that, or maybe change the venues. I was just wondering if that'll ever be a thing, just asking.

Whilst out on a stretch of pavement (in the street) I was able to Edit (slightly) the street furniture in Bliss Bay - moving from one pavement area to the next - all benches and planters on that side of the road are now a nice lime green :D
