Requirements are too demanding
My kids and I were looking forward to the release of Inzoi - only to realize that the game requirements are through the roof - even higher than games like StarCitizen.

Due to this fact of your relatively insane requirements, i am sure that not only will you loose the 3 purchases from my family - but a lot of purchases from millions of other potential customers.

It's just really sad that you didnt think this through - code and GFZ optimization would have gotten you a long way. :-(

It's still EA and devs said they target a slightly lower config in later dev stages when more optimised. This being said, sims 4 is 11 years old, none should seriously expect the same minimal config, had a lot of pc generations going inbetween.

The minimlal config is reachable on pc that cost less than 800$ (new) or 600$ (used GPU) so it's not that high either, just slightly up the medium "sims casual players" (not saying in a bad way, but sims is more a "game not targeting gamers and playable in most work computer" ) ^^

Eventually you'll upgrade. Games should not be held back because people wait 10 years to upgrade their pc.
Star Citizen is way worse. Ofc it's better in regions with just the dark, black nothing around you. Once you however try to walk on a crowded planet... rip.

Requirements are not unreasonably high. The Sims 4 is more than a decade old by now and was intended to run on basic hardware even when new. This game goes for a more realistic look, which inherently necessitates higher hardware requirements.

Here's a cheap build recommendation that should be able to run this game without any issues. Not maxed out, of course, but it won't be ugly either:

Ryzen 5 5600: About 100 €/$ - a really solid entry level CPU
Basic AM4 motherboard: 50 bucks - doesn't really matter which one, although I'd recommend one with four RAM slots for easier future upgrades
16 GB RAM: 30 bucks - 2x 8GB so that you can add 16 GB more in the future, when needed
RTX 2080: 200 bucks used - an absolute steal for the money, a powerful GPU that supports the latest features and runs all current games
Basic brand name M.2 SSD: 50 bucks
Brand name power supply (at least 700W): 70 bucks - don't skimp on this part
Cheap case: 30 bucks - feel free to skimp on this part and if you have a used case that is large enough, just use that.

Total: 530 or thereabouts with just one used part. Prices should be in this range in much of Europe and the US.

This PC is more powerful than an Xbox Series X or base PS5, but it costs about the same. I know that this might still be steep depending on where you are living and what your family income is like, but it should be affordable unless you are really struggling, for which I don't blame you if that's the case, of course.

I hope this helps.

if requirements are too high then invest in better computers, Because just to launch it you only need entry level pc from 5 years ago.

I'm sorry to say, but developers can't always gear their games toward the lowest end PCs. It's for the best that they explore their creative options rather than defining their game by those who won't be able to play it. It will be a better game overall if they're able to be flexible about requirements. I'm sure they'll try their best to optimise in the future, but complaining about it right now is kind of strange. You are one individual, not their main priority. Their priority is their vision for the game.

The requirements aren't even high just get a better pc if you can't play it and stop whining about it on the forums.

this game runs better then monster hunter wilds? i would not say theyy are through the roof im getting 60 fps on 3060 5600 16gb ram witch is a basic low end pc now days

I have played the game on my potatoe by todays standards. 8700k / 3080 / 32GB Ram. It played just fine.

Have you tried using any their guides to settings to see if it helps, I seen some youtubers say you can still have fairly good graphics and performances on stuff like medium settings. So maybe you just need to tweak settings to have a good experience?

That's not a potato. That's still an above average gaming PC. Until very recently, the most common GPU among Steam users was the GTX 1650, which is less than a third as powerful as your card even without taking the 3080's far more advanced features into account.

This forum is filled with people trying to play the game on 1.1 GHz dual-core low-end laptops from eight years ago and wondering why it's not launching, because they have never purchased a game that has any hardware requirements beyond "is an x86 computer with a basic iGPU". That's not a made-up example, by the way.

I’m running it on max settings on my 4080 super and it looks bad enough. It doesn’t warrant a high end system it’s just horribly optimised

Which part of the minimum system requirements were insane exactly?

The three generation old GPU? Not really that insane.

If you don't want to break the bank on high end parts, you can get some 3060 cards for around $300 new at this point.

And I think they thought this through just fine. They're not worried about whether you and your two kids will buy it right now. The goal here is presumably to make a life sim with staying power for years to come. And part of that means making a pretty game that can do lots of interesting stuff, with the minimum requirement of a very average PC.

https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam

Currently 45.04% of Steam users have a minimum of a 2060, with the most common card being a 4060.

It's estimated that the 60 series will be out in 2027, and between then and now loads of people will upgrade.

The game isn't going anywhere either. If you don't want to buy it now, wait until it's out of early access a year+ down the road.

every game made in unreal slop 5 has high system requirements due to how bloated the engine is
all you can do is upgrade your system or wait for performance optimizations from the devs
malorob Mar 29 @ 3:44am
if you are playing star cit and your kids are playing that then this game is not for you.
and star cit has much higher demand than this.

i can play this no worries with a 1080ti.
