My Zoi can't romance anyone

Basically what the title says. I've been playing for a few hours as a male Zoi (if it helps, I'm running him with the Adventurous trait and high rethoric/max charm skills) and despite being able to befriend anyone in town easily he apparently has zero rizz for anything romance related. No matter which female NPC my zoi talks to romantically, he gets completely and utterly rejected from the get go, which frankly is both hilarious and tragic to look at.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if the game is so realistic that it's portraying the realities of modern day dating to a tee. XD
Has anyone else run into a similar issue?

No, do more friendly interactions first. Pay attention to their likes and dislikes on their card then when the friendship is good enough then try romance options

Find one that's "mutual crush". You can get married in 5 in game mins :))

Yeah see, that's the thing, I maxed out both of those stats recently and still no dice. I also checked for the other Zois likes and interests and even if they may have the exact same personality(Adventurer in my case)/most of the preferences I still can't romance them at all.

Edit: Also adding to this, I made sure to max out their friendship levels first to BFF and still nada.

How can I find one exactly? Do I need to use "Find common interests" dialogue option (which always fails for me) or can I check it elsewhere?

When you're selecting their gender, you have to put that the zoi is attracted to males/is interested in romantic relationships!

Pretty accurate huh? You gotta up your rizz game. Get to know them. This isn’t the sims were you can just spam the same two socials

same, except I was able to get married to the other zoi I created in 5 minutes of interacting

LOL, I don't disagree with you, the question is however how do I get there. Not only did I unlock their entire character sheet, reached BFF/Business partner relationship levels and have my social stats completely maxed out (I was even under the effects of the Confident/Triumphant moodlet just in case) and apparently that still wasn't enough for my character to rizz them up.
The only other factor I've yet to try is to talk to them for a week or two, see if there's a hidden rapport mechanic I'm not aware of, but I'm not fully confident that's going to do much of anything the way things are looking.
