Why only hetero????
Why does the game only have hetero relationships? Yes, the game gives you the opportunity to create an asexual character or create a non-binary character or create a gay/bi, etc. This is very nice, thank you for adding this feature to the character creator. But this feature exists ONLY in the creator, in the game itself, all NPCs and non-player families are hetero characters. That is, if I create a gay character, there is not a single male NPC who would also like men. The situation with non-binary characters is EVEN worse, non-binary characters do NOT attract ANYONE romantically. Why? And most importantly, why did you do this? For a game in which a significant part is based on characters and their relationships, this is a very sad situation.

Maybe someone knows codes or loopholes on how to fix this? My first thought was to just walk around the city and edit families in the creator, but the game does not allow editing existing families. My second idea was to populate the city with more diverse characters myself, but it's quite long and I'm afraid that I'll overload the save with characters, which will make the game sag even more. Plus, none of this will fix the problem that random NPCs in the city are still only hetero characters, and I meet random NPCs in the city more often than real families.

I'm also now wondering how the gender/orientation of a character not created in the creator, but born during the game, is determined. Will they all also be hetero by default? Is there no chance to recognize yourself as a non-b person or as a gay?

Yeah, they need to fix this. I thought things were going fine, allegedly my female Zoi was building romance with another female Zoi and as soon as I made a serious move, she litterally ran away...I was like 'huh'. Then it happened again. Like, it's not that hard. Make the Zoi neutral by default and defined by character interactions. I have started popping my own queer NPCs in from the manage family thing. Which is not intuitive and requires a ton of work around. Its dampened my excitement for the game. And I was really enjoying it.

The wild thing is when Youtuber MadMorph played an early early build of the game several months back, he played a woman dating another woman. So how did the programing change so drasitically leading up to release?

In my PERSONAL game, actually yes I want every single generated NPC to be on the spectrum of bi and basically have the game adjust the spectrum of the queer population to the gameplay of the player so that my game is what I want it to be and your game is what you want it to be and rather any player wants to play it "gay" or "straight" they get the world *they* want. I'll even take a gay to straight population slider to ensure everyone gets to see (or not see) as much queer representation as they like. Because I quite frankly don't care if you don't have one gay character in your life-simulation game, but I want the ability to have them autogenerate in mine. My life has a wealth of queer community and yes, I want my game, in my house, on my computer to have the ablity to replicate that along with a bunch of great hetero friendships and fun careers and all the other wonderful bits of life-sim playing.

yeah for sure not something i want my little girl or son around oh well time to revisit the huge backlog of games we have

i know it might sound weird with my other posts but i hope you love the f out of this game and that it brings you joy i dont think this stuff is bad or the worse just not stuff my kids need to be around i honestly hope this stuff doesnt go away because then we will just get this overblown past decade again where instead everything needs to come together slowly and not forced because when you force stuff you get the pendulum swinging the other way and no one wins in the end

The female Zoi you were crushing on wasn't into women, simple. Most women aren't into other women.

Average reaction if the events happened in real life. lol

I believe that atm. the game just doesn't assign pre-created Zoi's other preferences than heterosexual, so it's just a waiting game.

One of the most adorable sweetest kids I've ever met,has two moms and I also want this representation for him, so he can make HIS family and HIS two parents who love him and have raised this amazing kid. I want him to play out their wholesome family picnics and all the happy family moments they've had over the years. Pushing agendas has meant none of his friends, most of whom don't have queer parents, don't find it weird or an issue that he does have two moms. People always assume wanting queer rep is about the romancing and "whoo-hoo" soley, it's not. Its also about being able to represent families and have family moments with a family that represents you and that family might have two same sex parents.

Really the big thing I want to do in game is find a wife and raise a cute little digital kid in a cute little house. That's all.

I hope this developer doesn't ban mods that removes LGBTQI+ from this game as we should have the option to remove it. It does help this was developed by a Korean company. EA doesn't allow this with Sim 4 which which is a disgrace as it should be an option to turn off

This was the only reason I bought the game.
It gave you the options you wanted without normalizing.
Thanks Krafton.

None of the female Zoi are, in the entire city. Same for men, if I play a gay man and attempt to romance a man, any man, no man in the entire city is gay. This is a *confirmed* bug by the Devs, this should not be the case.

It also not realistic that there is no gay person in an entire city. Most of the non player zois should of course be straight but there should also be a good ammount of gay and lesbian Zois.

No, they don't. I consider buying it, if this 'feature' stays unfixed.

Its nice when games focus on real life and the real world instead, perhaps you should go play Balders Gate and have fun with that bear.

You always have the Sims 4. The game literally makes 80-90% of the population LGBT when spawning new sims. So, cry more.
Don't like it then don't play it. Stop calling people homophobic or transphobic for disagreeing with you. Patheic.
