Any male gamers enjoying this game and if so what is the appeal? I'm still on the fence so trying to get some reviews from other men

Its alright an relaxing game i just sometimes miss action and wish i could play it like GTA and do more crime stuff maybe with mods in the future.

I’ve been a fan of the sims since the first one (gamecube version) and I’ve played just about all spinoffs and main entries. I’m the kind of guy that plays many different genres - shooters, rpgs, mmos, life sim, 3D platformer, doesn’t matter as long as the gameplay is fun.

I also play inZOI with my girlfriend so it’s something we can do together and bond over.

Man, stop bashing the guy for asking a question. I get where he is coming from, the Sims is definitely aimed at a younger/female audience. This game looks really cool, but for a lot of guys if the "end game" is just changing outfits, etc. we would lost interest quickly. People need to stop having meltdowns over the TWO genders.

Basemental Drugs for TS4 is epic, I just make molly all day and sell it. Almost instant millionaire.

won't lie I bought it hoping for future mods, but I like sim games regardless and this one looks like it'll be the sims 3 I always wanted.

i just like creating relationship/castle drama, just like i did with the sims 2&3&to an extent 4 & even skyrim. the adult mods makes the drama much more intense.

having a spouse/GF and cheating on them and trying to strategies to maintain 2 or 3 and even 12 separate relationships without the others finding out.


this game is close to the sims 3 vanilla release without the DLCs in term of world and content, it gets boring once you figure out the ins and out.
too meany annoying bugs that need to be fixed.

Dating and seduction is too easy, and not many options and outcomes, but considering it's state definitely worth waiting for final version plus purple mod in the future.

Thanks for this. Do you feel it gets boring quickly or is the gameplay loop interesting and challenging enough to keep you entertained?

Not boring for me -- I just got the game yesterday and I have limited time to play, but I know I will get bored because there aren't many character interactions. So far so good, though.

I'm still waiting, but I do like what I'm hearing.
I never played The Sims like a traditional life-sim; I always liked creating chaos and setting up elaborate challenges or escape rooms for the sims (sometimes I even felt like John Kramer from SAW,) so I'm waiting to see if there is, or going to be, more of that.

I do like the open world though, it was one of my favorite aspects of TS3, even though it was scuffed in that game. Shame that rather than working on fixing it, Maxis just decided to go back to instanced neighborhoods with TS4.

Certainly better then Sims 4, You have a lot of stuff in there EA would have asked you to buy a pack for first. The days a pretty long out of the box. You play over 1 and a half hour per day. But it is good fun. I at least enjoy it more then I did Sims 4. Looking forward to what the devs have for us in the future.

To be fair i feel the only people who don't understand my question are very young, most likely teenagers. It's clearly gone over their head

I agree with you. If this game is essentially just another "let's play house" it won't really appeal to the male gamer as much as the female similar to Sims 4. I hope it isn't that sort of game and is alot more indepth

Didn't know til I watched Asmon's upload. When one gets in a car it completely changes to 3rd person like GTA. Cool seeing your sim town from that perspective

As an older man, I enjoy creating stories/situations that I miss or never had a chance to experience. Like seeing a daughter grow up for example.

its like the sims 3 but some of the activity's are very slow like sleeping for example
and also have some bugs and the game a little laggy but you can redcue the lag from the setting by reducing the animation quality to 1 ms
