"can't use this" error when interacting with computer

Anyone know why I might be getting a "can't use this" error when interacting with a computer in my house? I tried deleting the PC and buying another one. No matter what i do it won't let me interact with it.

Nah, every computer that I try to use gives the same error. I saw a reddit post saying that it could be the chair not being close enough to the PC or stuff on the desk. I've removed stuff from the desk and tried moving the chair as close as possible/ made sure its lined up and still get the same error so idk.

Just fyi, not sure if it has anything to do with it, and it could be separate from my issue, but I was wondering why I couldn't use the computer and it was because my "chair" wasn't close enough to the desk. When you place the chair, you have to press the arrow (in build mode when you select the object) to get it closer to the desk. I was wondering why it wouldn't do it automatically after placing it.

there is an auto placing feature for the tables and stuff, didnt think it mattered to use actions like eating or using the computer I'll try that and see if that's the issue

Ok so ya, just push the chair onto the desk where you put your computer until the chair clicks into place. That fixed it.

My character can no longer use the toilet in the house that they have been using all along. There are a few things my character can no longer due. :( Before that, they could no longer use the street food vendor on the beach that they had bought food from earlier.

I notice this problem will happen too if another NPC is on their way to do the same interaction. Unlike in the Sims, it doesn't look like you interrupt others and take priority. You wait your turn.
