inZOI
Not enough Video memory
Hello D:

I bought Inzoi today and wanted to play. But I keep getting the message that I don't have enough video memory available.

Here are my technical specifications:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700KF 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM: 64.0 GB (63.9 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
Windows 11 Pro
DirectX 12
1.2 TB free hard drive space

We have already contacted support, and they responded quite quickly. We followed all the steps recommended, but nothing helped.

We googled options such as:

- Opening Steam and Inzoi as administrator.
- Windows Updates performed
- Driver Updates performed
- Microsoft Visual C++ updated
- Computer set to high-performance mode
- Shared Memory increased
- Graphics card drivers updated

I'd hate to return the game, but if we can't find a way to get it running, I have no other choice :< help

I have the exact same problem with almost the same specs for my pc although I have i9 and 4070, but it just crashes... even when re-installing the game. I too would be sad to return the game but might have no other choice.

Make sure you're using your dedicated gpu and not your integrated. This is how: https://youtu.be/fyZhZsljgvI?si=tEM-pVFeV_KV9O6P

found this in another post, works fine for me, looks like its a temp fix!
1) Go to the game install directory
2) Right click [inZOI.exe} and go to properties
3) go to compatibility Tab and set compatibility mode to "windows 7"
4) also check the "disable fullscreen optimizations"

Right click [inZOI.exe} and "run as administrator in the game directory and confirm the changes pop-up window on steam and it should get past the "optimizing game files" loading screen.

Switch your power plan to Best power efficiency (power saving mode) instead of recommended or high performance

Make sure the Game is really using your GPU and not the onboard one.

Steam - help - Systeminformation, copy/paste the text

Are you at 4K Max ?
I get that some 8GB GPUs might crash for video memory, but yours shouldn't.
Although , some games at 4K can push beyond 16gigs of Vram at 4K, my 7900XT actually had that happen and AMD drivers actually use Vram not efficiently at all.

Do you at least get to the menu where you can set graphics settings?
You might be an unfortunate one who suffers from hardware CPU issues, a CPU RMA is required
