Never played the Sims.
I have never played the Sims. How do you enjoy such a game?

Do you let your persona do things on auto-pilot or do you controll it everytime?

I'm not seeing the amusement of it , while I am very intrigued by the game.

Neither. I just create people and spend hours building homes.

Stories...
Sims 4 is free to play, so you could give it a try and see for yourself.

It's a bit of both actually. Zois (that's how in-game characters are called) can be autonomous, when you don't control them.

I've been playing Sims since the first one. I like creating a character and watching them grow, learn things, and see how a story unfolds, as if it were a novel.

I'd think of it as if you're writing a story.

Pick a character, think of what it wants to do in his life, and then guide him/her towards that goal.

When they meet new people, perhaps a wife or a friend that decides to join your household do the same based on their personality, keep going while you're having fun.

It such a different vibe than what I usually play.

I always play games with action , danger , surviving , pressure.

This is a whole different cup of tea

since you never played the sims before then i highly recommend you buy sims 3 its better then this game, if you are bored from sims 3 then buy this game

the current inzoi game is in early access and dont have lot of content and have some bugs too

sims 3 have TONS of content coz its been released for a long time and they add lots of expansion and content to it

inzoi is good and am sure in future updates to fix issues and add contents, expansions it will become a great game maybe even have the potential to be better then the sims series, but for now i highly recommend you buy the sims 3, if money not an issue with you then i suggest you buy both inzoi and sims 3

While I do own a lot of unrealistic looking games. For a life simulator I would enjoy realism over the ''style'' is of Sims.

the sims 4 base game is free, you can download the base game and see if you like it or not

both inzoi and sims 4 gameplay is the same, ,put the graphics aside for now, download the free sims 4 and try it,if you like sims 4 game play then you will like inzoi, if you didnt like the game play in sims 4 then you will not like it in inzoi so you will save your money

Yeah, these are more about the experience, there are no goals, there is no score in the end, a zoi that ends up rich didn't necessarily have a better life than one that ends up poor, it's a sandbox for you to try different things you may enjoy.

Probably a lot closer to a game like Worldbox than the traditional gaming genres.
It's surely a mix of both plus other stuff like building houses or specific characters or playing dress up. There's great charm in you making your choices and affecting the world and other npc lives while they all have their own needs and motivtions that lead to countless different interactions. Some people play mostly for the building and make super detailed dream houses, others play their ideal life or role play another life, some like me play You simulator and have fun kidnapping and murdering the neighbours

I do feel as a male player the whole playing house, creating virtual tea parties, going on amusement rides etc isn't really appealing however some are claiming they are having fun by creating a rags to riches story. The Sims 4 always looked fun but I could never enjoy it. Like me you are clearly on the fence so give it some time and watch what it becomes
