inZOI
Earning money
Hey :)

I'm not a fan of the rabbit-hole career options in the Sims and always play with alternative ways of earning money (crafting, gardening, freelancer-options, etc.).

Is there something like that in inZoi as well or are you stuck with just the regular jobs?

reads like an unintended exploit.

There's art, writing and computer programming and you can sell all of the products. A "good" result is the like half an end-game weekly salary I think.
With poor quality stuff being much less. There's music stuff too but I'm not sure that's sellable.
i tried this but no one is buying my stuff
This is not obvious from the start, but meals/paintings/vegetables/bonzai trees/etc are best sold in Build/Buy mode. I've never had anything sell using the app. It might not be implemented yet or something.

It is beyond ridiculous and needs to be patched because it makes all jobs and freelance careers pointless, which by extensions makes pretty much the entire skill system pointless. It's gamebreaking. If you're a person that cares about building your characters skills and careers, ignore the lottery.

Agreed, im a rags to riches player mostly and they have welfare just throwing money at me in the game when i have $0, but they also have the money cheat button, so i dont think they care too much. But yeah, its definitely broken

I really hope making money like that is something our zoi will really have to work at. It's far too easy in the Sims to simply plant a garden of dragon fruit and get insanely rich.
That was the fun part of the Sims. I loved being an inventor and gardener.

There's an option for busking in the park. I tried it with my zoi with level 10 performance skill and got some ppl tipping the guitar case in front of the microphone but the money was not added to my balance... If it gets fixed, its a great fun way to earn money.

Small paintings, good or better, sell for 500 or more. Perfect picks up 2k to 6k.

- Writing books, programming applications, composing songs or creating videos: Once finished, it is placed in your inventory and sold from there.
- Painting: Once finished, you enter construction mode and it is sold from there.
- Gardening, fishing, bonsai and cooked food (not individual rations): You have to buy a market stall and place it in front of your house. Put the products in the stall and wait for walkers to buy them. Bonsais have their own stand and are sold from there. With a zoi I played I earned 1000 to 2000 a day selling bonsais (skill to the max). If you don't want to put the products on the stand (since you have to put them one by one and there may be people who are not so patient) enter the build mode and sell from there the products. With the bonsais I don't know if this last one is possible.

One little note for paintings: after you finished it, you can interact with it. It says:"sell it on the app" or something like that...can't remember. After that a small Meow icon will appear on it meaning it's for sale.
Wait for that icon and go to build mode select the painting and hang it on the wall. That way you can paint continuously.

And once placed on the wall and put up for sale, is it bought by the zois that walk around or do you have to sell it from the build mode? I say this because one painting I had it selected for sale and after one day it didn't sell. In the end I sold it directly from the build mode.
