I really like the game! But... it just doesn't make much sense to keep playing knowing all my lovingly created Zois will age and die. Then there's no point in continuing to play :/. There really needs to be an option/cheat/mod whatever that stops the aging.
I mean the point is the new Zoi you get to play that grow up in game, lol. Its always exciting to me to see who they become, which is why aging doesn't bother me. But I get that's not everyone's jam. And they likely will add aging pause at some point. But I also think they are walking a tightrope on NOT copying how the Sims does things and figuring out how InZoi does it. As long as they don't take away aging and death, I'm fine. I want aging and death and to see the results of genetics 7 generations later (like how much of my Zoi is retained), I just want more control of the time I spend with each gen of Zoi along the way.

I did not expect it yet in game, was just a suggestion, as the game is still in developement. However having the option to turn of aging, or as others suggested having potions/cheats for would make man people happy and still would not influence the people who like to see the characters age, as they could leave it as it is.

The Sims also had many options (including potions and becoming a being that cannot age).
A potion that makes you younger again could even give you the feature of seeing how you look old and reverse it again.

Imaging spending hours on your character just to realize you will lose it after a long azz grind.

Exactly that :O. Who wants to lose a character you've grown fond of and spent so much time with in the character editor ^^ Knowing that the Zois age relatively quickly puts a big damper on continued play. Instead of the stupid money cheat they should have included an option to turn off aging ^^.

I can feel you :( I spend 1 hour creating my character and there were not all options yet I think, as you cannot add multiple piercings/rings and many clothing missing, I guess.
Having such great character creation and then losing it soon is kind of sad.

I'd really like an option that you can set how long each life stage is and if you want to enable or disable ageing. I hope it will be added soon.

Yes, that would be perfect. Like aging from kid to adult and stop there.

in city management the health stat prolongs the zois lifespan but that's it i think
I think this is to make Zoi's harder to die but not prolong aging sadly but thanks for the tip!

So I can understand everyone who likes aging and playing the generations after :). But for me, for example ... I've been playing the same family with the same characters since Sims 1 :D and I've rebuilt them all in Inzoi! I hope the developers take the feedback^^.

I couldn't agree more

Don't even have to imagine since I experienced on The Sims 2 and did not like it. Had to use an in game cheat just to stop it, but at least it was stoppable. I trust the devs will make the option to stop aging somehow.

Nah, if I am going to bother to play the kid as an adult, I don't want them to get to be the same age as their mom and dad. Mom and dad got to go. But I do get and agree with the option to pause time as the player wants and to their taste.

I play my sims games like a sitcom/cartoon show, where nobody ages. They are basically established characters. I want to see that in this game as well.

What about individual options for households? You could make a new household and let your old one age. This way your parents would age, while the character you want to play forever stays young.
However I was rather thinking about teenager without parents, you can make a household with just a teenager and then grow.

No I want me to age and the WORLD to age around me. I want the kids my kids play with to be adults and elders with them. I love a well played out lifelong relationship. I am either everyone ages or no one ages, but imbalanced aging would drive me insane. In Sims 2 I played rotations so everyone aged at at about the same rate because I played every family for a few days, so that ones that froze caught up with the rest during there played days in the rotation. Sims 4 I played a bit with custom aging, but ultimately I age most of the world at the same time.

That being said, options, important.

I hated that no one aged in Sim 1, it's why Sims 2 quickly became my favorite game. Being able to make families that grew up and aged and had children of there own and eventually parted ways with their elderly parents was different from every other game out there at the time and every "new" sim born was like a new game I hadn't played yet and kept things fresh. And also seeing who took after there parents, uncles, cousins, etc many generations later. I loved all my sims, but I also loved all their kids and every new birth was a new story that could be anything and also could be some aspect of the gameplay I hadn't played with yet because it just didn't feel natural for the sim I was playing at the time, but it fit perfectly with my current Sim.

Can't wait to play with that generational play in InZoi, but the early development stages do need some work. And aging options that satisfy us all.

A nice way to describe it. I also like to spend as much time as I want then age if I want to. Like we have 9 days to age from young adult? It's crazy you can go 3 days to univercity 5 days to your job then your life is over you are adult now. I'm currently training to be an idol and when my training is complete I'm gonna be adult xD If this was real life my career would end there. And secondly you can't even earn millions in your lifetime or I mean I'm sure there is someway to do it but you don't have time to spend it! At least for my pace ageing is too fast...

tbh i can see this being an option they add
fujikazu 28 de mar. às 14:30
Until something changes, I just set in game time to 24h days and maxed city health. Also made a save at the start of the family so I can just go back to Day 1, if needed, once a better alternative is available.
thorin106 28 de mar. às 14:31
Recommend to the devs as the game is still underdevelopment, I too like to stop aging for my favorite Zois.
Daedrac 28 de mar. às 14:31
This is one thing I think Sims handled well at some point. You could disable aging, but the life counter increased and you could choose to have a birthday party to reach the next stage in life.
