I did not expect it yet in game, was just a suggestion, as the game is still in developement. However having the option to turn of aging, or as others suggested having potions/cheats for would make man people happy and still would not influence the people who like to see the characters age, as they could leave it as it is.
The Sims also had many options (including potions and becoming a being that cannot age).
A potion that makes you younger again could even give you the feature of seeing how you look old and reverse it again.
I can feel you :( I spend 1 hour creating my character and there were not all options yet I think, as you cannot add multiple piercings/rings and many clothing missing, I guess.
Having such great character creation and then losing it soon is kind of sad.
Yes, that would be perfect. Like aging from kid to adult and stop there.
So I can understand everyone who likes aging and playing the generations after :). But for me, for example ... I've been playing the same family with the same characters since Sims 1 :D and I've rebuilt them all in Inzoi! I hope the developers take the feedback^^.
Don't even have to imagine since I experienced on The Sims 2 and did not like it. Had to use an in game cheat just to stop it, but at least it was stoppable. I trust the devs will make the option to stop aging somehow.
What about individual options for households? You could make a new household and let your old one age. This way your parents would age, while the character you want to play forever stays young.
However I was rather thinking about teenager without parents, you can make a household with just a teenager and then grow.
No I want me to age and the WORLD to age around me. I want the kids my kids play with to be adults and elders with them. I love a well played out lifelong relationship. I am either everyone ages or no one ages, but imbalanced aging would drive me insane. In Sims 2 I played rotations so everyone aged at at about the same rate because I played every family for a few days, so that ones that froze caught up with the rest during there played days in the rotation. Sims 4 I played a bit with custom aging, but ultimately I age most of the world at the same time.
That being said, options, important.
I hated that no one aged in Sim 1, it's why Sims 2 quickly became my favorite game. Being able to make families that grew up and aged and had children of there own and eventually parted ways with their elderly parents was different from every other game out there at the time and every "new" sim born was like a new game I hadn't played yet and kept things fresh. And also seeing who took after there parents, uncles, cousins, etc many generations later. I loved all my sims, but I also loved all their kids and every new birth was a new story that could be anything and also could be some aspect of the gameplay I hadn't played with yet because it just didn't feel natural for the sim I was playing at the time, but it fit perfectly with my current Sim.
Can't wait to play with that generational play in InZoi, but the early development stages do need some work. And aging options that satisfy us all.
