LGB question.

I’m not a fan of “woke” stuff in general, and I don’t think being gay, lesbian, or bi is woke—it’s just something that naturally exists in the real world. That said, as a gay man, it’s a little disappointing that in inZOI, even though NPCs have sexual preferences, I haven’t come across a single gay character in town.

I actually like that not everyone is "free game" romantically—that's how it works in real life, too. But with that in mind, it makes the lack of any visible LGB characters even more noticeable. I’m not expecting a ton of representation, but it’s odd to not see even one.

I don’t mind that the game uses “Partner” instead of “Husband”—no issue there. But is there a way to check or edit NPC sexual preferences? I know this is a little contradictory to my point however I'd like at least one option or can you create gay NPCs and add them into the town? I haven’t figured that out yet.

Also wondering if they’ll eventually add an in-game app or something to the phone where you can meet other LGB characters. In real life, unless you’re in a designated area or community, it’s not exactly easy—apps are what make it more accessible which seems a bit more natural to me.

People asking for representation in a Sims-style life sim game is not unreasonable or "pushing an agenda". Like if you could only pick one certain skin color, it would not be an "agenda" to ask for other options.

It's not like the game is set in some specific historic period where certain things just wouldn't make sense to be there.

It should bother nobody's sensitivities if there were optional setting for various LGBTQ population in the game. Anyone can simply chose not to turn on those settings and go about their own fantasy world.

Since this is the early access period, now is definitely the time for players to make their wishes known and advocate for the things they'd like to see added to the game.

I can understand why at the beginning of early access the game would be kept relatively simple for testing, and introducing more things step by step over time to minimize having a whole bunch of bugs to fix all at once.

Well said. Asking for inclusive options in a life sim isn’t pushing an agenda—it’s literally the point of the genre: freedom to create and reflect your own world. Early access is the perfect time for feedback like this.

Harsh cold facts, but gays in Thailand will get murdered. They're not trans, they're almost exclusively all entirely gay men who have to conform as 'straight' to escape death. You are both wrong, where I live gay rights (full legalisation of homosexuality) were granted by our authoritarian communist party

+20 years before western countries started decriminalising homosexuality. (Which is a bit of anomaly as usually authoritarian regimes both communist and fascist focus on suppressing LGBT people)

the fact that they added the option indicate that its gonna be in the game. its just not implemented correctly.

just like in the sims, the default world population in the game should be all bi to help more ppl with different tastes.

Literally two months ago. Doesn't disprove the point that gay men had to hide under the guise as women to not get killed for decades and that's why there's a whole bunch in that country specifically. More specifically: gay male prostitutes. That's the reason behind the stereotype of Thailand.

Being gay doesn’t mean I’m required to adopt every belief tied to gender ideology. Sexual orientation and gender identity are not the same thing. And let’s be real about history—yes, trans people like Marsha P. Johnson contributed, but the gay rights movement was largely led by gay men and lesbians, especially during the Stonewall riots and the AIDS crisis. This wasn’t a one-group fight, and rewriting history to shame others into compliance helps no one.
