Fix for AMD GPU Game Crashes – RX 7900 GRE and similar cards

If your game crashes right after the splash screen (everything is entirely fictional yada yada) and before the main menu, and you're using an AMD GPU like the RX 7900 GRE, the issue is most likely related to your graphics drivers.

✅ Solution:
Downgrade your AMD drivers to version 24.8.1

🛠️ Technical background:
This issue appears to be caused by the AFMF 2 update introduced in driver versions after 24.8.1. Since that update, inzoi crashes.

📋 Error details (Event Viewer):
You might see an entry like:

Display driver amduw23g stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

This is a sign that the newer driver is crashing during game initialization.

📢 What you can do:

Report the bug to AMD so they’re aware and can fix it in a future release.

Roll back to driver version 24.8.1 to get your games running again.

If it's a bug with AFMF2, just disable that in a game profile for this game. Why roll back a driver version for that? especially with how many people are using a 9070xt now.

The newest drivers using AFMF 2.1 It's way way better than the 2.0 version. I recommend using the newest drivers. Also they will release next drivers special for this game

I didnt say it crashes because AFMF2 is enabled. I said it crashes since the AFMF2 update was released. I have never used AFMF it just wont work for my card with drivers after 24.8.1 ffs.

didn't work for me but I did the page file solution which has worked, no more crashing!
