Can you not (phone)call other zois?

I would expect this to be a somewhat basic feature of a social life sim, yet I cannot seem to find the option to call or invite over another Zoi that I've met, interacted with and talked to before? Not on the phone or anywhere else. I know you can "call over" others, but that apparently requires them to already be around you somewhere close to begin with.

Yes, you can call them over or message them.

How? All i can do is answer their messages once they messaged me first, but I can't seem to find any other way.

Button at the very bottom Right has Contacts and that will allow you to "Call over" other People. But I believe to do that you need to have a certain relationship level with them and not just met them once.

I'm trying this with a romantic relationship I have, so I would expect this should be enough to call them over, message them or contact them otherwise except for meeting them by chance on the streets xD They aren't available to be called over though or be messaged.

Hmmm that is strange, I was able to call people over and I had like 2 or 3 conversations with them. Just to clarify a bit more I am talking about a contacts window that is NOT in the Phone, it is on the regular menu bar at the bottom right of the screen.
If that is the one you're talking about and it is not working than that might be a Early Access bug or smth probably.
Is that person you're talking to maybe some sort of Special NPC you found somewhere?
I don't think I have seen anyone like that yet atm but maybe this game has those idk.

Are you talking about the "Relations" tab? I see two NPCs there, on of them is true love for my Zoi (and vice versa) but don't see anything related to starting messages convo or phone call.

On the relations tab bottom right corner, there is a button called "call over". This allows you to call others to your location.

Not gonna lie, seems to be random as to whom you can call over, but I'm not sure if this game has a set amount of actual created characters, and whether or not it uses other players Npc creations, and their jobs, or personality that they use.

I was wondering about this, too, but I did finally understand the "call over" button. It's worked with every zoi except this one that I still need to talk to to change our relationship level. I could go to their house, but I've been busy with sending my zoi to university, and getting the scheduled events down.

yeah some you can't call over that restriction is a bit weird, you can have all your relations maxed out but if they aren't in the same region you can't call them over or something

I've run into this with giving a gift, too. They're able to send me gifts, but I am unable to send them gifts because we aren't in the same region, apparently. I really need to test this out by going near to where they live and seeing if it gives me the same message.

Yeah this has been happening to me, but earlier I was able to call someone out of the region , but now I can’t. Frustrated cause I’m trying to marry them lol

Doesn't it matter WHEN you try to call them over? I've had Zois unable to be called over one day, only to be free the next day. I just assumed it was to simulate that they were busy with other activities at the moment you decide to call them over.
