Dr. Malvin Vopson argued successfully that we live in a simulation years ago. You can go and read his peer-reviewed white paper; Albeit some of the jargon and math is a little advanced for the layman you can still clearly follow the main thrust of his argument.

So, in all likelyhood our 'god' is just probably some nerd who has us programmed into his "Cray Super Computer" in his mom's basement. So, stop worrying about us wasting our own personal free time. It's ours to waste. I for one stopped being useful to the Capitalist Overlords many years ago and society can jog on for all I care. Let the earth be inherited by cats. The reign of primates should end with us shut away in houses playing our "fake world" video games.

as opposed to what? Dressing up as a banana or whatever and killing (fortnight) or dressing up as an army guy and killing (COD, BF, ARMA etc), or a plumber that rescues a princess (obviously, Mario)? Im not saying any of these games are trash, im saying that people find games fun... no matter the genre, it may not be your cup of tea...

no, you got it wrong:
you CANT jump over a house, eat mushrooms and grow 5 times as tall.
BUT you can go out, find a friend or a date. And on top of it, it will be a million times better experience than logging into this game.

Some people like to mass murder other people with shotguns, some people like to make a cute little lad, put 'em in a cute little outfit, make them a cute little home, and add a cute little death pit where people are set on fire.

Ah, but you are forgetting the ultimate power fantasy that is being a (young) adult with a well-paid job, a healthy life, and a nice home.
