It's not just about having empty cities or streets—I don’t even mind that, even if it feels lifeless. In The Sims 1, despite having no open world and limited features, I still enjoyed the game immensely.
What this game lacks is the fundamental core that made The Sims 1 (even just the base game with no DLC) so popular.
That game had a solid progression system. Developing talents was essential and closely tied to your job. If you didn’t have specific perks, you would struggle. There were even indicators showing which perks you needed for a promotion.
Another thing—random visitors frequently showed up at your house in The Sims 1, adding to the immersion. But in Inzoi, I’ve barely encountered anyone except for a child.
Remember how satisfying it was to afford expensive furniture in The Sims 1? The high-cost billiards table, the LCD computer screen, or even the pinball machine—it felt like an achievement. But in Inzoi, you start with a lot of money. You're already rich, and most of the best appliances and furniture are already owned.
Lastly, the AI lacks personality. The dialogue system is simplistic—just pick positive responses, and the relationship meter fills up quickly. You can easily marry someone with minimal effort. i wish the charisma perks / talents system in this game has something to do with that .
but despite the negative and complain i listed above
here's the postive i like about the game
kudos to the graphics . this game is beautiful crafted . the lightning / raytracing and models . character creation / clothes / building in this game is superb
even going to the beach was rather empty also.
but i remembered in the tube video they did say it will depend on what your putter can handle.
a better machine will be able to have a lively world but will depend on your pc specs .
filling the world with more means more things will be going on when you are doing your own things.
sims are ok but look at the size and look at how much memory it uses.
this has so much more eye candy but it lacks depth.
people these days want the better looking characters but with it comes less character personalities.
but hey still early days, and what you can do in the sims with all there dlc is head and shoulders over this.
even sims 2 is better than this atm but this is still EA so here is hoping they will do a better job.
only down side is the zoi in this sound the same as my sims talking
How can you discuss a movie you've never watched?
You can talk about a movie based on trailers, reviews, or what people say about it. Same with games, you can form an opinion from what’s out there, even if you haven’t played it yourself. Doesn’t mean your take isn’t valid.
Yes it does.
Sure, if you say so.
You mean the trailer that highlights the best parts? I go off reviews, usually I don't watch anything below 75% on rotten tomatoes.
lol
It may feel empty ( ignoring the gameplay fact and early access ) because we are so used to a life sim with a cartoonish look with Sims that were cartoonish expresive.
Put two Sims in a room and like cartoons they are very VERY expressive and that what makes it charming. But inZOI is more realistic.
Put two actually human beings in a room in real life and the scene would look a lot more empty than a cartoonish Sims scene.
After having the Sims for so many years we just need to get used to something else. Thats why it may feel odd because we are used to something else
