Why can't young adults date?

Why can't young adults date? It doesn't make sense, both young adults and teenagers date in real life, I don't understand why it's blocked.

Note 1: Teenager with teenager

NOTE 2: I have now discovered where the error is, when creating a zoi there are some ages which are, child, young, young adult, adult, middle-aged adult and elderly, however, in the game, we have the teenager, and I thought that the "Young" in the creation of a zoi would be the "Teenager", but apparently we have another age in the middle between child and young, hence the problem, I do not know if it is a translation error or if it should be like this, because the child icons have a cap with a balloon, the teenager is a cap without a balloon and the young is a university cap, I created a new game and for some reason the "teenagers" disappeared and now there are only the "young people" and now the "young adults" have spawned in the city.

best not to add it in, teens are still seen as minors in allot of common reality around the world & in the mainstream world of entertainment.

it'll get the company in a heep of trouble with the press and easily offend parents.

I guess 18 to 40 year olds get no love and have to remain maidenless. Sadge
(18 - 40 is considered young adult)

best form of free promotion, the devs did nothing wrong nor did the game. its a parents job to parent a child, a game barely ever influences their choices

Have you raised the relationship between the two Zoi's to the point that they will. In my play my Zoi just got a gift from one of the people she met. InZOI seems to have a much more complex social and relationship system, compared to The Sims games.

you know how these thing works,
all it takes is 1 person to cry and make a big deal about it calling the company out, wail things get lost in the forms ending up painting them up for selling loli stuff,
followed by lame news media picking it up to gain attracting just to ending up damaging the game and the company reputation.

Literally no one will call the company out for two grown adults dating. The O.P was asking why young adults date and then gave an example of dates irl. They were specifically talking about young adults which are 18+. 18+ should be able to date, which was confirmed by someone else that they can.
O.P just need to build up a relationship with another person.

Young adults, adults, middle-aged people and elders can date. If you want an age gap romance, go with young-adult + any later life stage. Teenagers are like... 14, so no, you can not date them. Don't make this weird.

What? My Young adult Zoi is on a date with another young adult Zoi right now! My issue is that after he met her for the first time and asked her out the same day, 4 hours later their love level is already maxed out.

Keep in mind in the United States of America, teenage dating young adults where considered jail bait, but its more complicated than that because of the fact that though that are dating through high school and one of them became a young adult and the other one still teen, because they where dating before one of them aged up its a grand fathered thing. So the law has to make room for that in a sense. This is how they solved it in the USA as long as you are no more than 5 years apart it is legal. This game is from a different country so may have more stricter values placed on dating. This game came from South Korea, wow so cool glad they brought back the spark the made life sims great again.
