Tooooo much Meow Money to start
I hit the money cheat in the PsyCat menu thing thinking I could set my meow money to zero. instead I got 100,000 more Meow. I want my Zoi to work there way up from a cheap apartment in Dowan and this game gives you way tooooo much money. I don't even need a job. This was a Sims 4 flaw too, too easy to make Simoleans and too few places to spend it. Has anyone found a way to get rid of money beyond buying a bunch of junk (which would defeat the purpose). I want my Zoi living in a CHEAP small apartment in the city until she earns otherwise.

If I buy expensive furniture, she will have expensive furniture which ruins the vibe of being young and on that struggle bus life. if I sell the furniture, I will just get money back. I don't want her to have expensive furniture. I just want the money gone minus maybe like 1000 when she starts earning money work. The fun of a game like this is earning your way up. I will try the suggested cheat above.
Just a hint. You want to play it this way. Dont try to dicate how people see and play games. And whats fun for them and what not. Some like the house building the most. Others the char creation. Others to be able to do things they cant do in RL.

I am not dictating anyone, I've seen several streamers struggle to play a true rags to riches, like I said keep the money cheat but also give me an EQUALLY EASY option to start with low or no funds ON TOP and IN ADDITION to that. It's a single player game, you can do whatever you want, I want the power to cut my funds down by a lot ALSO. this want does not affect people who want otherwise.

First off, He isn't dictating anything.
If you really just want to build there is a separate build mode and an easily accessible money cheat.
Point is we can set stuff we don't even know why we want to change it, but can't set our starting money lower.
And even if he followed the advice and just bought more expensive stuff - what then? What is left to achieve afterwards? Again I managed to get a huge-ass apartment with the starting money and 15 K left.
After marriage I had 55k
Fun fact, even though I got such a huge flat, even just 5k would cover my utility and food bills for months. - I have no reason to pick a job for my Zoi's at all.

EA is there to give feedback, and that is what people are doing.

I really wish the same, it would be nice if you could choose a start like coming from a poor or rich family, or just a slider which what amount of money you start off.

I love the feeling of being a poor dude with a small appartment/house with only one room and the cheapest furniture, then getting rich overtime instead of being able to almost buying everything from the start.

single teenage sim, buys a place and has 9k left, she turns that into 115k by the end of the first day and buys a second house on a bigger lot. her karma hit the ceiling and was offered a choice and took up the lottery win, now 1.06m up and i'm going to buy that expensive lot the other side of Bliss Bay along with a nice car, get everything she wants with no expense spared, i should still easily have 3/4 of a million left by the time i'm done. i can save it there for future patches and see what happens. but adding more options of car would be nice, a nice flashy sports car would turn heads.

The reason for this is so simple, they want you to be able to test the late game content without playing for 12 hrs.
How do you gift zois money? I don’t have that option.

And you are not willing to give away the money to a needy Zoi. I understand your predicament, to much money and not willing to give it away. All rich people have that problem.
