Tooooo much Meow Money to start

I hit the money cheat in the PsyCat menu thing thinking I could set my meow money to zero. instead I got 100,000 more Meow. I want my Zoi to work there way up from a cheap apartment in Dowan and this game gives you way tooooo much money. I don't even need a job. This was a Sims 4 flaw too, too easy to make Simoleans and too few places to spend it. Has anyone found a way to get rid of money beyond buying a bunch of junk (which would defeat the purpose). I want my Zoi living in a CHEAP small apartment in the city until she earns otherwise.

Go into the Psycat menu and write:

/setmoney 0

or how much you actually want.

Just buy better furniture etc that'll cost a lot.you don't have to add meow money.

If I buy expensive furniture, she will have expensive furniture which ruins the vibe of being young and on that struggle bus life. if I sell the furniture, I will just get money back. I don't want her to have expensive furniture. I just want the money gone minus maybe like 1000 when she starts earning money work. The fun of a game like this is earning your way up. I will try the suggested cheat above.

TbH this is the only thing that is worse than in the sims.
Apartents and lots are far too big and money is everything but rare. Basically all you need to do is marry, and you won't have to go working for a while.

I don't think this is a thing? Where did you find any kind of console in the game? There's nowhere to type anything in the psycat guide, what is the psycat menu?

The only way to remove your meow is to gift them to other households, but caution you get social benefit if you have 0 meows which is 2000 meows.

I wouldn't mind being at like 1000-2000 in funds. I am aching to get home and play the game, I have some nitpicks but I do REALLY like it. I just wanna start out a bit more poor, lol.

Definitely, I think they've put a whole lot of focus into the social side of interacting with your zoi and other zoi's and not as much into the living side of things? Will mods be able to adjust some of these parameters? Maybe make things more expensive, jobs pay less, etc? I have seen mixed things about what can and cannot be modded in the game.

The game is in early access. This means it can change a lot. If they get enough feedback of the same, they will likely adjust the core mechanics. Really the talk about mods *which* adjust these things is a little too early if you ask me.

So if you use a program like Cheat Engine, you can set the currency to what you want, which i did and set it to 1000. sure, got the welfare thing afterwards but hey it works.

You all talking like you're already rich in the game. Like how? I started with 55k and the apartment that i moved in was 52k with furnirures. 3k left...spent a thousand on urgent things and i bought a tablet. 2k left. Rent: almost 700.
I'm a beginner lawyer (not sure about the correct term) with 300 salary a day 3 times a week. Again that's 900/week and my rent is 700/week leaving me with 200/week spare money.

Single household > City nest apartment >> 15k Left >> pent down to 5k >> Married >> 55k as the spouse sold her house. Absolutely no reason to take a job and work, and City Nest apartment is already too big for someone without a job too ( 2 bedrooms, 2 Baths, 1 HJGE office, Kitchen living room... Walk in Wardrobe laundry room)

I moved into the cheapest smallest 1 bedroom apartment in Dowan and only bought a few things because it was already perfectly a first starter crappy apartment -- crappy bed, crap computer, small kitchen, tiny bathroom (she doesn't even own a TV). And still had BANK left. Then wanted to cheat it DOWN, hit the money cheat thinking I could cheat money down, not knowing it gave you 100k, now need to get rid of it. My Zoi still doesn't have a job, because for what?
