Not on an ultrawide, but I'm experiencing the same issue on my 6700XT

I just had this same issue with my ultrawide and was able to resolve it without finding a file. I am going to see if I can post a video of it of it. I had to click specific parts of the screen to get the setting to change. The hard part is hitting the apply button. I was able to achieve this by hitting alt+tab to another window I had open and and then lining up the mouse on the apply button so you can see the color change a darker blue. Then you click the mouse twice(not fast, but not slow) and as the screen comes up from going black, you should see the confirm countdown in the center of the screen, which the click location should be slightly below the no button.

I know you're working on a video to display how to resolve, but what specific setting did you change to resolve?

Hitting "APPLY" is the hardest part, i can change everything else like from fullscreen to windows. I just cant find that apply button on the bottom right!
same here devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us who have widescreens... i dont understand how the demo worked perfectly but full release doesnt
this gotta be a graphical issue either we aint seeing or the devs need to fix.

Video is helpful in representing the issue. Looks like your cursor aligns at the bottom left to open the option menu, but mine requires it to be slightly above it. The only issue now is that I cannot determine where I should click regarding getting out of full screen

Doesnt work for me. my mouse always goes back to center when clicking the button and going to fullscreen. Gonna look for that resolution file for now.

I just broke mine again to test it. You can also do the alt+tab trick (clicking twice after lining up on the arrow) to switch to windowed and then do it again on apply.
To find the correct speed to click alternate between clicking twice fast and slow. Again hope this helps. Hopefully someone find an easier fix

Hmm. Unfortunately that doesn't work on my end. I've tried verifying the game files and reinstalling, still no luck. I'll give it a day or two for the devs to update. I'd hate to refund a potential successor to Sims.
