very handy tool i generated a picture of kittens. 10/10 game and i used the AI to generate a art like display of a drawing my friend made she was amazed i added it to mea house XD
I also find the AI texture generation particularly strange when there's already a range of textures and patterns to choose from when customising objects, yet those same patterns aren't available for clothing customisation, forcing you to use an AI for such simple patterns (which, I might add, often aren't satisfying for me).
another anti AI activist. go back to the stone age alr
Not only did the devs say this a long time ago in their press release, but also on the Steam page.
Don't talk about stuff you do not have the slightest idea about what it is or does.
You are simply wrong.
You're statement even makes very clear you don't even know what substance maps are.
You read the word AI and it triggered you because according to you everything with AI is bad.
Let's check that shall we.
Documentation of Autodesk:
Substance Map
Applies Substance parametric textures optimized for exporting to game engines.
A quick google search:
In programs like Substance Painter or Substance Designer, a "substance map" refers to texture maps that define the appearance of 3D materials:
Base Color Map – the color of the material
Normal Map – fake surface details like bumps
Roughness Map – how shiny/matte a surface is
Metalness Map – whether a surface is metallic or not
Height Map – used for displacement
Ambient Occlusion Map – shadow details in crevices
These maps are often exported together to make a realistic 3D texture.
So nobody in the industry huh?
