The controls are so god awful

Like it's actaully horrid, Let me move camera with wasd, I get it walking around wasd is a cool feature from sims 2 on ps2 but it gets old quick.

you can left click on the map to move just like the other life sim game

you can play the game like Sims by point and click, you don't have to always use WSAD to move around

yeah I wish we could toggle it on and off. I keep accidentally cancelling whatever I am doing by trying to move the camera with WASD

You can't change hotkeys at all which is just weird.

I was playing for a few minutes and my biggest issue so far are the camera controllers... I really want to move the camera around with WASD and rotate with QE...

I don't mind the Zoi controlling part, I really am just clicking to go places because the WASD wasn't for me. But I need some keyboard controls for rotating the map. Not to compare, but in sims you can hit '<' and '>' to rotate around the map. I could also freely rotate up and down with up, down, left, right and I know this is a different game, but god I hope they let you set some keyboard controls for rotation. I do like the game, ran into some quirks but having fun. Lost so much time, didn't know when it got to be 11pm

right thats my main issue too.
BUt there are other issues

new game comes with new controls

just like buying a new hotas after you use the old one for many years it takes time but soon enough you will get use to it.

not before you put a brick through it due to frustration. hahahahaha

I dont understand why they didn't release with the ability to change hotkeys

It's imperative they add the ability to toggle hot keys and/or add on screen controls for those of us using notebooks and trackpads. I'm on a razr laptop, so I have a trackpad without left and right buttons. Despite this issue, I was able to really enjoy some of the gameplay - I just...couldn't rotate. I don't think they were thinking about users without mouses.

I’m having a lot of trouble with the camera controls. For build mode, I attempted to replace one of the rooms in an apartment with a pre-made gym from the gallery and it was an absolute nightmare.

And sometimes my ‘point and click’ doesn’t even work during gameplay.

One of the advantages of a PC game is the keyboard and its many KEYS you can use for things. It's common for most modern games to let you set your own hot keys. It is literally uncomfortable to rotate the map with the mouse all the time. Worse thing about the game for me right now.
