Needs Drain too Fast?
Is it just me or are the needs like hunger draining super fast? I'd eat a meal and it went to full, and not even five minutes(in-game time) later I'm back to being hungry?

yeh, hunger is super annoying. they must be eating 5000 calories a day. a proper meal should fill the hunger bar but it only raises it by ~50%. it may be linked to quality but how bad it tastes shouldn't effect calories consumed just your mood. (unless you are just eating carbon)

my zoi made a pizza, ate a slice then washed up the serving plate which still had 3/4 of fresh pizza when cleaning up the used plate. the amount of hunger filled does seem to be linked to quality of the food.
I kind of like the quality of the food having an effect on food satiation. Compared to like Sims 1 and 2, the needs depletion in InZoi honestly still feels too easy (as does Sims 4). But it feels slightly harder than Sims 4, which I am enjoying. Water fountains are great for a quick few notches on the needs meter. They don't fill you up, but the needs bar doesn't have to be "full" for Zoi to go on about there day. It's awhile until they are fully miserable. My Zoi's breakfast didn't fill her up, but I had her grab a beverage in the park. And a bag of chips somewhere around mid day. She was fine until she got home and cooked a meal that night. I just wish they'd auto-eat instead of making food and walking away.

only need that is too fast is hunger. it's crazy how quickly it goes from 100% to nothing, sometimes i eat before leaving house, go to park or something and i am hungry again. Other need bars though is far more reasonable. Game honestly isn't all that balanced at this time, expected for early access. right now it's more like a fun demo to play with, i don't think it's really in a state for serious play yet but it is cool to see what they are doing with the game. AI features honestly i am more interested in more then anything, i want to see what they do with it as i think this is perfect game to test out all kinds of AI things.

This is not how eating food works in real. Quality of food does not reflect calories it should offer. If you are burning down your food to charcoal levels, that is a different story, but because your food has no seasoning, spices, is too dry or stuff like that are not changing the actual satiety value.

I am constantly cooking, there is almost no time for anything else. Drawing pictures? Screw that, go cooking! You want to learn guitar playing? Nope, food it is! You want to progr... oh wait, the autonomity does already stand up for you and gets something to eat.

This is not how a comforting game should work.
hunger drains super fast, my zoi eats like 6 times a day, the most annoying feature of the game

Hunger does seem to drain faster than the other needs. I haven't found it as much of an issue, I guess, because I like to have my Zois grab snacks and protein shakes at vending machines while they're out, or try the stuff at food trucks. I also found that they don't really get uncomfortable for a while and so I don't obsess over it much. If I just don't want to deal with it, I'll pop for a hunger-filling donut at the Meow Store for 10 -- but that's pretty rare 😊
Zois are eating full meals 8 times a day lol.
Hunger drains with activity. Higher quality meals seem to last you longer.
What really sucks is the sleep meter... this one ruins the immersion the most. My energy levels are always at around 85% for a whole day while sleep is near depleted..

More expensive beds don't recover sleep meter faster either. Another big issue D:

that hasn't been my experience, high quality or low quality doesn't make a lot of difference. Pizza works but you got no place to store it and take a slice when your zoi gets really hungry. this leaves ready to eat foods that is very filling for one.

my zoi ate a slow hunger donut from the meow store and it has made a massive difference. it has allowed my zoi to do a lot more things.

a lot more with 24 hour timer. your sim is pretty much in need of food every 30-40 game minutes on 24 hour time.

I think that Hunger and Sleep drain too fast, while the other needs drop way too slow. Got my Zoi working out for two hours, and he barely lost any Hygiene in the process. Hopefuly the team will work on balancing those out.

I just found out that letting a Zoi go hungry doesn't matter that much unless you're trying to efficiently build skills. I'm currently trying to starve my Zoi to death and haven't fed her almost two days. She's still alive and doing most of what I want her to do. (I gave her terrible karma, let her rot in jail for a bit and am hoping to see the wandering ghost process when she dies, even if ghosts aren't ready yet.)

You can also slow down the decay of your needs of choice by using the meow points in the a Meow Store. Hunger is 100 points and sleep is 300 points. I haven't needed to use them yet (only an occasional top-up donut), but thought they might be useful for anyone who wanted to 😊

They definitely do, namely hunger and sleep. I can get a zoi fully rested during the night and by the time I have them use the bathroom, shower, and go fix a meal, so much of their "rest" is already gone, around 1/4th. Same with food. I've noticed meals being filling is kind of random. It needs to be more consistent, but either way, I end up having to feed one zoi 4+ times a day, and if you have multiple people in the household, a lot of your time is spent cooking meals. I've started to let the dad stay home and cook meals since he enjoys cooking and his skill was going up quicker than the others since he literally only went to work one time, but I guess he got promoted in that same week and the days changed, so it seemed like he was at home all week, so I just let him quit and stay home, lol.

Yeah that is true, sleep also seems to be fast. It's quite weird how there's a split "rest" and "sleep" though, but I guess its kind of like a throwback to "comfort" from older Sims games.

Yes, I called it "rest", but it's actually energy. Either way, I think both of those need to be combined. Because if your sleep is low, likely your energy is low, as well. Obviously your energy can be low for other reasons, too, so maybe that's why they did it. I noticed, when my zoi was sick, their energy was running out even faster, so it makes sense. I wish they'd replace it with comfort (or whatever else they might want to call it), something to score surroundings. I notice the items don't have a comfort score or anything. It would give people a reason to want to buy more expensive items for their homes. Right now, everything works the same, pretty much, but have much different prices for no real reason. What is the difference between the computer that is $900 and the one that is $1300? Or the beds or chairs or anything?
