Dedicated GPU?
I am all for high-quality games, but I am also about options. Excuse my ignorance in these matters, but why not have the option to dumb down the graphics enough for those of us who want to play but don't have the resources to buy some fancy gaming PC? My computer isn't horrible, but it definitely does not have a dedicated GPU.
I was really looking forward to this game, but it looks as though I am not going to have the option to play it. Even the demo won't so much as try to open the game. It immediately gives me a popup saying as much.
My ideal scenario would be to launch a lower-quality menu/launcher that gives you the option to play at the highest quality—or a lower, more reasonable-for-the-average-player quality. Again, I understand if that’s technically difficult or not feasible for this title, but it would be nice if more games kept lower-spec players in mind. Not all of us can afford expensive gaming PCs, but we still want a shot at enjoying this game in some form as well.
Oh well, back to The Sims I guess?

@Haruspex Bahaha! I feel that. As a sims 3 survivor, I have plenty of patience for poor running games.

I can only dream of a Sims 3 remaster akin to the Legacy Collections. For all their faults those games do play better than I've ever seen them on my system. Having Sims 3 run at perfect 60 with no lag spikes would literally be a dream come true.

Right? I love the sims 3 gameplay.

It's the best one - I just find it hard to play due to the poor performance. I can only play it happily at a low resolution in windowed mode so it doesn't lag horrendously.

God forbid you have more than one DLC enabled.

RX 6800 cost like $100. Is it really that hard to buy dedicated GPU for you?

I pretty much only play Base Game + Generations for that reason lol

From what I understand, I would have to buy a whole new computer to go with that because I am on a laptop. I am going to try the GeForce Now option.

I am stubborn, lol. I like the island one and the worlds one as well. I enable about three at a time and suffer the consequences.

I appreciate that feedback. I, unfortunately, can't add them to my laptop. But some have suggested GeForce Now, and I am going to try that.
