This "max graphics look blurry" seems to be an unreal engine thing, people said the exact same thing about ark survival evolved and compared it too PS2 graphics.
Only DLSS4 and FSR4 can fix it
plenty of things you can change to make it a bit less blurry and a bit more sharp and focused.
I dont understand how you can criticise realistic graphics and say its outdated when the characters look inbelievably good and for the most part the environment is too.
The only disappoint is the map locations for me. They do feel like its been done by an artist.
Theres no pleasing people nowadays. Tech pushes realistic graphics and when its delivered, its disliked.
And im sure bloom, motion blur, tilt shift and blur can be turned off.
Im done with characters looking cartoony and never understood this opinion that cartoony graphics stand up in time, and yet realistic graphics dont. Tech is always improving and everything is outdated eventually but surely realistic graphics look less outdated than cartoony graphics.
And besides, cant a more maturer audience have something abit more believable than the crap weve been dished since, well, forever?
If you want something to moan about, worry about the ai, data collecting and all the potential harmful possibility that may come from it whether its account hacking, target advertising, and bombarding you with interests and hobbies youre into, right down to generally being spyware on your pc. Forget drm / denuvo that everyone cries about. Think about the ai arms race that is happening between the west and asia and how our information and actions might be influencing bigger problems regarding ai learning and what that could mean beyond the game but any unregulated company in asia using it for other applications that could coat peoples lives.
Some might embrace it, some moght not care, but once all this ai starts knocking on your doorstep influencing our lives and leasing to a very unclear future, id be more concerned about that than whether a game is using realistic graphics or not.
And dont get me started on face capture in cohoots with ai.
Frankly I do think the art style, animations and vibe of the game is sterile imo. I'm not a fan of Sims 4's overly cartoonish style and expressionism either but a healthy inbetween would've been better for this game.
