As far as it's "Ease of use" I may not be the best judge. A lot of the extra steps and menus are like second nature to me as I'm an Architectural Engineer and work in CAD like 90% of my workday. So to me this is like a really basic version of CAD or Revit with like 99% of their features missing. I look at it as more of an advanced build mode. I personally would love to see some more advanced features implemented into the build mode but I get that most people prefer an easier interface to use. I think in time they will add more QOL features to build mode
This is however, just a demo. There's a lot of content missing from the demo that I will assume be in the full game. If you look at the various build/buy menus you can see some of the missing features. The exterior menu only has fences right now but you can see some grayed out options like walkways etc. We also cant place any terrain in the demo but it obviously can be done considering the presets.
I guess we have to wait an see what the full game holds in a couple of days. Hopefully they have worked out some of the bugs in the demo and there will be a lot more options in the build mode.
