OP misses the mark hard here. Firstly, 2 or 3 percent is not accurate, that isn't how this works. Low end CPUs w/ fewer threads/cores struggle more with denuvos background encryption/decryption checks.
Faster SSDs and Highend CPUs would be the ones that see no difference. Meanwhile older or midrange hardware can get those stutters, longer loading times, and inconsistent frame pacing.
It also depends on game design and how its integrated. Look at Resident Evil Village pre and post denuvo removal.
2 to 3 percent claims are based on controlled benchmarks which is not a reflection of the gaming community as a whole and frame time consistency, hitching, and microsutters are not reflected well in FPS averages and they do degrade the experience.
--- Further you saying they are losing money-- is you just saying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There is more evidence that when a studio puts their trust in the community that it succeeds far more often. So are they losing money? How much do you think the licensing fee is for Denuvo?
Anti Piracy is now more of a shareholder push than actually protecting a game. Most games are cracked within days of release. Gamers actually buy games when performance improves.
Sure-- some people will pirate, but they were never going to buy it anyway. While devs lose 'protection' they gain performance, reputation, and saved licensing fees.
What you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't get is that there is literally no ceiling to software. If the service is good (Steam and whatever they offer in game) is better than pirating then it will sell.
You can look at Rage 2, it was cracked immediately, but still sold well.
-- OP is some conservative clown.
You say no to this, you need to think about everything you’re saying then.
You yourself said they should have denuvo even though it doesn’t help.
Therefore it serves what purpose? Hurts paying consumers
As for denuvo and mods, you realize people like praydog (reframework creator) and EMPRESS are on the same skill level.
Its not a skill level 99.9% of modders have. Think you need to brush up on this. Inzoi with denuvo and mods would have been a huge issue. RE Engine took a VERY long time to get right even for praydog and he got lucky enough that capcom is not making changes to screw him over on it because they actually silently support mods and his engine. That engine developed a LONG time ago is the only reason wilds had mods from the jump. He didnt just show up with no code and say, here you go everyone. Its been built up for years dude.
WARHAMMER 3 even with official devkits crashed like crazy with mods beingbused because of denuvo for over 3 years
EMPRESS is another story. All you need to do is look into the history of what youre talking about before posting my dude. Because this is coming off hard as paid shill postings
its hard to tell if its genuine or not.
there's too meany ppl that thinks exactly like him around the internet and IRL.
There is quite alot of them too, its like world stand on shoulders of real life Hogwarts house elves xDDDDDDD
