Im staying away, and i think you should too!
Guys & gals.......
ive been looking at buying this game, but since the piracy post, steam security post, and having seen youtubers, having to add their social media accounts, from ticktock facebook and such, ive decided to give this game a miss.
Its overly expressing the concern of exploitation of personal information collection, and given its an Asian product, it concerns me even more, regarding security.

These posts, threatening action over piracy, which too me, expresses a lack of content and depth of the game for the asking price of £39, which too me, is the only reason as to why they would make a post announcement such as this.
Further more, making a security post announcement, explaining how we should protect our accounts, when this is just a game, is either stupid or throws out security concern vibes regarding this product...

I strongly suggest staying away from this game, no matter how much your keen to play a Sims4 killer/replacement.

Its far too invasive for my liking, and using AI on top of all of this, is just screaming Bad things.
Its one thing having AI alone in a game, but requesting data collecting too, is a very scary thought.
Do we even know what AI the game is using? and is the company behind building the AI involved in anyway? its a very scary thought.
No game should essentially be spyware.

I know all of you are excited for a new sims type game, but please think about protecting yourself, and what games such as this are communicating.

Please do think about this.
Thanks.

The new law in CA AB2426 was explicitly made to counter situations as the one Krafton has created.

The concern isn't so much "Will it have DRM at release" and I think a lot of users are missing that.

It's that they already broke the law and put it on everyones PC using the demo & streamer copies with"OUT" their consent.

If the game has it or not at release isn't even the problem, YET, but it might be, its that they just up and put it on peoples rigs and are trying to remain silent on it, all meanwhile their mods on discord/reddit are trying to scrub the truth about that rather than discuss makes it more creepy.

Wait til it releases to see how this company is going to handle things when they get caught sticking their hand in the cookie jar, basically. I'm still no longer going to play it after this personally, companies get one strike for me. But I'm still going to observe what happens, and how much tries to get covered up.

I don't hate the game. Why would I hate it? I just find it weird it is a data collection tool exploiting their users for free labor to sell said user's data. On top of that you have to pay 40 dollars? Someone is getting screwed here and it's not me, but you do you. I honestly never seen anyone defend slavery so hard before. It's actually fascinating to watch.

Oh, ya. every company is upto no good, including google.
Im very well aware that western tech companies are upto no good.

That said,,
what would you prefer, as a lesser evil, West or china?
After all, china is a growing problem, militarily and conflicts are brewing involving taiwan. A war is not so distant.
and we all know how much more advanced china is in the drone department.

honestly, if a stupid game turns out to become the downfall of the west, having trained an AI, to eventually be used against us, in a future war... well... thats on you i guess..

Might sound like im high as a kite, and speaking absolute BS, but im afraid, the world is far more complex than what you might think. Makign an AI is no easy feet. and to make one purely for this game? i dont think so.
And given that Inzoi is using AI to an extreme, to a level we havent seen before, its a very scary step.

Id be far more trustful having a western developer knowing the laws that we have, revolving AI, and having the information of knowing what and where this AI has come from, and its purpose, andn ot just surrounding a game, is very important.

Given that Inzoi is developed by a korean developer, we do not have the same level of knowledge, of their laws, regulation, and what or where said AI has come from.
You made an entire fear mongering post because your Twitter mind cannot comprehend that some company that's not western might not be bad all the time? Krafton is minority owned by tencent games, a chinese company, though they're footing the bill, doesn't mean they're calling the shots on everything. You're nothing but a twitter dweller on steam, one of those "OMG GUYS THIS GAME IS WOOOKE CAUSE THEY DID SOMETHING I DONT AGREE WITH" type

"tencent" owns this company? Okay now it makes sense.
To be fair he sounds more like a bluesky user. Tencent is even worse then riot games with user data. Oh boy may god help your soul poor sweet child. You do not know what you are doing... I hope...

On the off chance you know exactly what you are doing?

Nothing unusual about this, especially coming from a large Korean company.

That one was a little odd at first(and has since been deleted), but I believe they said this purely because in order to use Canvas you also have to make an account with Krafton, which presumably links to Steam. I would imagine it's more to protect your account with them than Steam, which also is not unusual. If people get locked out of their inZOI Canvas accounts due to a security issue, it's more work for their support staff.

That's a huge leap lol. Also, again, nothing unusual. Lots of big developers and publishers take an anti-piracy stance.

requesting data collecting too, is a very scary thought.

Can you explain why this game collecting data is scarier than all the other games that you have that collect data? Or Steam collecting data? I do believe that we need better digital protection laws, but I'm not sure why I should be more concerned about this game than any other game that requires an internet connection. They also said in their Discord that they plan to add an offline mode, and removed Denuvo due to player feedback too.

No game should essentially be spyware.

Not sure what you're referring to. Which AI? Smart Zoi? Or the generative AI? I know one kind of AI used in the game is Nvidia Ace. If you're that worried about it, look it up and research it.

Most of this post seems really paranoid though, and I'm not sure why you're begging people to not play it like this.

I’m definitely going to buy it now.

at the price of playing a game, you could have varies data breaches, your accounts hacked, and bombard you with unwanted advertisements, and maybe using AI to influence your decision making and view points on things in the real world.
Its potentially a very dangerous product, especially as theres a feature in the game, where you can openly chat with the AI.

I can see some very immature individuals here.
no wonder the world has alot of problems.
Eh, my bank account got breached a few months ago, and it's a supposedly trustworthy bank. Your phone and social media apps (not just tiktok, either) are using AI to send you ads every day and most of you don't care. Shoot, we have security secrets on Signal. Like, come on. The only tencent game I think I own is darktide and I barely play it because tencent loaded it with micro transactions and the devs barely do anything and under tencent's orders change the talents and can never get it right. I hate respecting my build almost every time i play. tencent as far as games go is pretty bad from my experience. You raged about minorities and Chinese companies.. That is a weird take for someone who isn't Chinese. I been to Korea, china and Taiwan a few times. I tested this no company or government has my personal data. I am invisible to this world. I am very proud of that.

Last time I checked Elen Ring, dark souls1-3, and FF7 remake, FF7 rebirth, GTAV, RDR2, Monster hunter wilds, a games I bought many other games i bought this year and for the last 10 years don't have AI or ask or force me to use socials. Gamers last year made PSN take down the req for PSN on sony games on steam. Gamers speak up? Things get changed. Companies want money don't they?

You said all games use AI, which games were you referring too?
where did it say they were requiring us to use social media to play the game? I never saw that anywhere? No one is forcing anyone to link anything to you to play this and to continue to spread that is stupid and false.
AI is everywhere whether you choose to see it or not, I cant open your eyes and I roll my eyes at the people who are clutching their pearls saying its all doom and gloom. Many things over the years have been called an end of an era and yet things managed to endure. The world continued to evolve and continue to go on.
Right? I'm playing it right now, technically, and I didn't have to link anything to play. I downloaded and started playing. Just like any other game I've played. The fear-mongering when it comes to any company that isn't a U.S. owned company, despite what the U.S. has done and is doing, is just funny.
I am extremly careful with my data in the net, much much more than most people, I don't even use platforms like facebook and instagram or Tiktok and I did not have to connect this game to anything, I did not even use the thing to scan to link my game to the game page. No problem to do it without scanning QR code, you just need the link to the page. My husband is expert in computer science and if he doesn't alert me about data theft then I totally trust that there isn't any data used or stolen. It is up to you which cookies you accept, I don't think you need to worry and you should be save and can buy this game, just my humble opinion, but i can encourage you and discomfort is not needed here :)
This is the age of infomation ur data is already exposed. its pointless freeking out over something like Denuvo its just an overrated DRM some times causes instability but thats about it.

not to mention Discord has AI all though it.

AI in general is going to cause ALOT and i mean ALOT of problems as Elon Musk said it has no proper oversight. and it will be used to steal info for monetary gain.
You literally has nothing to do. If you want to get some community creations, you should register on their site and link it with your steam. Which is way better than having a launcher like some other games. Nothing else was needed for playing the game. No linking to social media, or anything else. I don't know what is this post talking about.

Because in the US we can sue our government and companies for mishandling our data. Tencent in china they have no safe guards to protect your data.

Now I don't use social media because all my friends and family are near me and online friends are not real friends and I am not a narc. So i don't have to worry about handing over my data. As for steam they track my data in their app and the games a I play. The only games I had to opt out of data collection was final fantasy and ghost of tsuma and monster hunter wilds? I always opt out so if they collect it without my knowledge or consent I can sue them under US law. Unless you as an american consent to data collection they cant data mine you. As for steam I don't care if they know what games I play.

When it comes to Asian made games there is no data consent laws at all so that is a big risk for anyone. Steam data collects my steam deck? big whoop, steam data collects my game play and uses of their app? Big whoop. They can not scan non-game files and if those files are scanned that would be a major law suit. Plus I don't break the law. I have nothing illegal on my computer and don't have any work files on this computer. Work computer and this computer for gaming and whatever is separate. So what will they mine? gaming files and few spicy pics of Asian women? and spicy tifa mods? Go for it!

If you are in the EU yes the US is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥ with your data because your governments allow it. Same goes for Asian countries and that isn't a US at fault thing that is because your governments allow it. That isn't an US problem. That is a you problem. Plus 5 eyes and that is a whole another can of worms. Me? I don't do anything that is illegal so I have nothing to worry about.
