inZOI
I uninstalled InZOI Creative Studio...
...before even trying it.

Did you read the privacy policy?
They collect all sorts of stuff: browsing habits, IP address. Why is my IP address needed to improve the game? Will there be locally-made content based on my IP address location?

And other electronic information followed by a vague 'etc'.
What else is taken of my personal information without my knowing?

All of this is said to 'honour the contract' between myself and inZOI.

No, thank you. I agree to none of it.

Can I try the game/Creator studio without my personal information being looked at? Just like the good ol' offline games of yesterday?

You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about lol. Ignorance is bliss. In some way i envy you. The privacy policy is far from the only concern with the game, by the way.

There are agreements before you install that Steam offer you to let you know what you are getting into and then you agree to it before installing. So as soon as it has finished installing that Denuvo anti-piracy thing will get to work to protect that demo. it's already too late by that point to uninstall it, it has already done its thing.

It's fascinating how hard some people project to make a point about something :D

As quoted by their privacy policy:
Sales and Sharing of Personal Information We share your information to provide you with the best service environment, for example, with cloud service providers. However, we do not sell personal information to third parties and do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Looks pretty standard to most other privacy policies including the ones on almost every webpage you visit. I don't think there is anything to be concerned about, it's mostly just a statement of data handling that's required by law.

Tbh Google monopolised the data sharing aspect of third party data sharing by effectively giving it away for free to anyone who wants it and specifically for 'cross-content behavioural advertising' to shore up their selling of advertising space.

This kind of data collection is standard across almost all modern games, especially online ones. Almost every game you play collects things like IP addresses and browsing habits for security, analytics, and improving the experience.

As for personal information, they only collect what's required by the laws in certain countries. If you're in a country with data protection laws, companies are often required to store or process some of that data to comply. Otherwise, they aren’t just scooping up personal details for no reason.

This is too late, as required by EU law. You need to disclose the use of mechanisms like Denuvo, BEFORE the purchase/download of the software takes place. Its like me saying "actually that banana you bought, i found it in the sewer", after you already paid me for the banana.

This is a different topic to the one that the OP is talking about, this thread is about the privacy policy, they even have a specific section about EU law in it.

They should be notifying users of additional software for the demo no doubt! but I expect the store page will be updated to include that declaration before it launches for the actual game itself.
