Money being called "Meow" ingame.
No offense to anyone but i think that's really stupid to have a currency called meow, it just doesn't roll off the tongue when referring to money. "I have 100 meows" "It costs 2 meows" it just sounds ridiculous. Why Meow? If there are cats in game that "meow" that makes it even more unfitting.

I hope to see the developers adopt a more original currency name for their game. Meow is just lame. "Bro i got paid 2k meow," see?! it just doesn't work.

Edit: I'm just gonna call it dollars.

Seriously though, most games these days call whatever their in game currency is something other than "Dollars" or "Euro" or whatever, so coming up with something fictitious is par for the course, everyone usually just calls it whatever is the most comfortable to them out of habit anyways. Their game mascot is a cat which has quite a bit of focus on it, so I do kinda see why they did it.

I'm hoping to god that by the time it releases they will have given their currency an original name. I get that the cat is important to a certain degree, and i love cats, i have one myself, but it's just sounds so ridiculous. It doesn't sound natural, or like a meme. They should give the currency a fun interesting name or base it off the name of their "inzoi" i'm sure they could mash some words together and get something more original and natural to say when referring to currency.

I'm happy that i'm not the only one. Hopefully it's just a placeholder.

I already mentioned and acknowledged that. Read my comment, it's directly above yours. Also, I don't think the world is gonna revolve around cats that much, yes it's important, but emphasizing it on currency is very boring and unoriginal, they can do that through other means. We don't even know how crazy relevant that cat is gonna be, and i reckon most people want to play inzoi because of the characters and world, the cat could disappear and that wouldn't stop people from wanting to buy and play the game.

Give the world a currency that sounds more natural for it and a bit more witty/serious.

A: not fully enjoy the game until a mod allows me to get rid of that damn cat overlord
B: exclusively refer to ingame money as "♥♥♥♥♥ Coins"
