How to add flooring?
I've been playing the demo and every time I try to add a grass floor tile to put the house on top of, the floor of the house I build on it is just that grass and I can't find a way to edit it within the house even though the walls are all connected. What am I missing?

What I found is that you can create tiles that you can texture as you want (grass, ground, wood, planks, textile, etc). And then there are "platforms" that you an elevate over the ground tiles. (Like the foundations of the house),

When you put the platform, use the piece selector to can see the options (materials, rotate, copy, etc) and the first one, movement controller, will allow you to change the size and height of the platform.

I still don't know how to combine shapes, (square and romboid for example) but in that way I managed to start building a house.
Unless making a garden area that is raised or separate you DON"T make a grass lot.

The house will be imported and loaded onto existing lots with grass already. That is edited separately from the house.

Fioor rooms you always over lap onto other walls to form rooms. that way when you click the floor of the room, it is separate from other rooms and automatically forms clickable floor you can set differently. Then set tile, fabric, custom texture, and such for floors. Grass is an option as well.

YOUR YARD is not something you build in the builder demo. The house gets stuck into the lot an you decorate the yard and such separate and after the core house is placed.

Thank you. I made a new post asking about if making your own lawn was necessary or not. I guess this answers it.
I'm going to add to this and hope you have an answer. I hit delete on my flooring and it doesn't show anything now when I go to click it to make it into wood tiles or other things. I've progressed too far too keep hitting the back button now but can't figure out how to get my floor back. Do I have to manually place the flooring tiles either of you mentioned or can I get it back another way?
I opted to try the floor tiles and play tetris with them until they mostly were where I need to be. As a result, I have "holes" or uncovered tile that can't be shrunk to the sizes I need. I'm happy to provide screenshots but haven't seen the option here. I know I just posted recently but I can't finish this until I've got them figured out. :(
I’m absolutely hating the build style of this game. It’s horrible.

I have a preset house, and decided I wanted to expand one of the rooms. Now the floor is missing, the foundation/platform is missing and won’t attach to the walls. And now I have gaps between the floor and the wall. How do I fix this

Going to reply here in case it helps. There is a button on the top bar next to the default "arrow" shaped selector. If you click it, or use the keyboard shortcut 'R', you can access the room selector key. If you click on a wall, it will show yellow markers at the corner of the room. Clicking on the ones near the bottom of the wall will allow you to build a floor, and clicking on the ones near the top of the wall will allow you to build a ceiling - which, in case you're like me and can't figure out why you weren't able to build stairs, is necessary to build stairs but not communicated well by the game.

Don’t see yellow markers when I click shortcut R and then the desired wall / floor?

Am I missing something?

What worked for me (annoyingly so) was using the preset rooms in the desired areas where I accidentally deleted the floors upstairs. Have to keep deleting stuff I don’t want from them but at least it recreates flooring as well… Not sure how else to go about this and very much feels like an overlooked bug 😓

Trace the outside of the building with more walls. It deletes all of the windows/doors/lights but it brings the floor back.

Oh, thank you soooo much. This helped tremendously. I was so frustrated until I read this. ❤️
