Do they plan to release a true demo?
I mean, character editor and home editor deliver nothing grounbreaking or entertaining.
It is hard to make a strong opinion. At least for those, who didn't follow the game much.

I know, but with the EA release in 4 days' time, I don't think so. It would be like giving the game away free at the same time as trying to sell it...

a demo is to showcase something with limited functionality and this current demo fits that exact definition. Nothing fake about this.

So you think game is so small, that they can't show anything?

Demo is not to showcase something, demo is to showcase GAMEPLAY. And that is not it.
Imaging demo of fighting game where you can check characters/costumes, but can't, actually, fight.

In a couple of days you'll have a 2 hour demo.

There are many streamers in Twitch that have early access and shows more of the gameplay to provide a more developed idea about the product. And after the 28th, when it goes public, more people will show it so you'll find easier to review and ask clear your doubts.

It's not 2008 anymore where you needed demo to see if you like it or not, today you can go to twitch and see for yourself without downloading and installing a game, join some streamer and ask questions in the chat about the game

I watched most of the streams, but usually ppl stuck at some place for a long time, so it is hard to get whole picture.
Yeah, I , probably will watch game later. And check community feedback/reviews here.

Buy the game and play for < 2 hours, if you don't like it, refund it.

Far bigger than sims 4 basegame already...

Also, this IS gameplay, building houses and the character creator are literally parts of h game you are playing.
Not sure how they would show gameplay of the live mode without it being overly limited (meaning you would moan about that too.)

He is claiming it has only 2 hours of content. Sadly morons are everywhere.
People played the base game of sims 4 for hundreds of hours, and that had far less content than this does.

Building houses and furnishing them is a massive part of a life sim.
Do YOU not know what gameplay means?

I think Ratz means that you can play the game for 2 hours and then refund, hence a "demo" of sorts.

Actually, yes, at this point I think it probably is. The game-world is big, sure, but there probably isn't a great deal of content at this point as we are still early in development. All the reviews I have read so far suggest that there isn't a lot to do in-game currently.

Beyond creating Zoi's and building houses, which you can do in the demo. For all we know, that might be over half the gameplay available right now.

I watched one review where ppl said that there is no random funny/crazy encounters/events like in Sims.
