You could download the base game of the Sims 4 as it is free to play and might give you the answer you seek regarding if this kind of game might interest you.
So there's resource management where your character has to work to make money to pay for things? I guess I should try the Sims since it's free. I actually didn't realize this game costs $40. Idk why I thought it was going to be free to play
That's probably a fair price, I just feel dumb for not realizing that. I'm still on the fence just with Elden Ring Nightreign (which is coming out soon) and I'm a big Elden Ring fan so I'm def not able to pay $40 for a sims game.
I did enjoy the character creator demo tho. Like I said, the game LOOKS cool. I just don't know if I'll enjoy the gameplay. I was thinking about doing a youtube video with the game, but it's not worth it just for that.
This "life simulator" you usually create your characters, and have to take care of their needs to keep them alive day after day. (like survival games, but much more easy).
Also you have to find them a job, in the sims, your chatacter can promote and for that has to learn or improve some skills (doing actions, like study from books, practice or training, etc).
Exploration the open world use to provide NPCs to know (make social frienship, or even romance that at a point could join to your family). Also can find other activities, shopping, restaurants, sports, parties, etc).
A lot of "charm" of this game is the house, you can build and customize it, is one of the reasons why you obtain cash with the jobs.
We still have to explore Inzoi and see how much content can provide, some people get "bored" of this game once they have explored all the features, other people feel more creative and enjoy it creating different experiences (houses, families, stories, etc...)
You may try check the 28th streamers playing the game, that may help you to decide if that kind of game is for you.
Thanks. I'm going to watch Kpopp's video on it, but maybe I'll check out others later. I didn't realize the price when I started this thread so I'll probably have to wait for a sale (although if it's popular they might not offer any discounts).
I ended up trying the Sims 4. I did have fun playing, but mainly because I was recording a video for Youtube. I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much playing it privately (although I did feel like I had to rush through things and didn't have time to learn how to play).
The preset houses are very nice, I am not a builder.
