HA! If it were NetEase(Once Human is a good example of them overreaching) I would worry more. But Tencent is just as bad. But we shall see.
Well what I saw from My Time at Sandrock (Pathea has a deal with Tencent) the prices are fair and the DLC´s are more fan-specials (f.e. I asked for more furnitures and optional wallpapers and floors, some other people wanted to have more interaction with pets and so on). Even the DLCs for the optional clothes and NPC-clothes are fair priced. And because of the eastern and western Traditions there are tons of Festives + special Sandrock Festives, that is in my eyes a huge plus.
In the end with the DLCs I wanted and buying in EA I spend in total 35 € for a game with over 100 hours playtime if you are fast.
I´m really looking forward for Inzoi, especially when you want to buy SIMS4 even in 2025 you have to pay over 700 € for all (with reduced price - for essentiell life-mechanics).
What I saw also so far from other games (Tencent holds 100% of Funcom and Riot games) is that the company is western orientated so the Developers, especially in China, don´t have this strict political rules. Martin Lau the second president f.e. was at Stanford University and Michigan University.
I think the company EA and others missused more their position when that companies were the world-leading publisher.
Never say never - well I don´t play LoL, so I can´t speak about the situation for the changes of the cash-shop after Tencent bought Riot. Maybe there is something I don´t know yet what will change my objective view. TSW changed at some point to the worse, but I don´t know if that was before or after Tencent bought Funcom as I was inactive.
I too have My Time in Sandrock, and I didn't noticed Tencent backed them. Made sense when they developed a polished game like Sandrock. XD The DLCs are affordable enough. Be glad that this game isn't funded by NetEase or NetMarble. :) I'm not even joking on that. If they were, I wouldn't be buying this game :D
BTW looking forward to Evershine.
So they will need to charge us somehow.
But I believe we won't get crumbs like how EA does it. >.>;
After all, it is a south korean developer and that country is known for their micro-transaction hell. Especially when it comes to south korean MMORPGs.
They have not promised that how many DLCs / DLC content will be included in the EA period...?
It’s just because I don’t know very well what this game can actually do (including what content the DLCs have = new things)
I still consider whether to buy
People complain about how much Sims 4 actually costs overall if they got all the DLCs (and all future ones beyond the current amount), and yet this time it's a F2P game. It's optional to buy DLCs for it. This one is not a free game, so to call inZOI additions "DLCs" at this point is more laughable, because it's virtually base game features you get for free, but it's a paid game.
I paid once 54,99 € for the Sims 4 Base-Game. It was not always free and for a long time there were no price-reduction as it was only available on the EA-plattform Origin for full price or at monthly base with 2 other DLCs ;) (EA-Play). It became f2p in October 2022. Apart from that, even it is f2p - 40 € for a DLC with basic-live-stuff like pets or going to work is a way too much.
Well I saw several previews from Inzoi on youtube and price/content includes a lot more of things as the SIMS 4 Base-Game.
My discussionbase was the difference about prices/content between the company EA and Tencent (mothercompany of Krafton). Especially when you have a look at games like Anno once from Ubisoft, now with Electronic Arts you see the same DLC-money-grave-model. That will be also an interesting future as Tencent now also holds round about 50% of Guillemot Brothers Limited which holds parts of Ubisoft.
yes, went straight to my wishlist at Day 1 :).
