Bro like if they dont add that mods will
dave 26 DIC 2024 a las 5:20 a. m.
Why not let then get the base game up and running first before adding all of the extra stuff. I am not saying that what you want is not worthy of consideration, but I would rather that they get the basics up and running before they start adding other stuff

If they did, I'd hope they would keep it isolated to a city. Like if they add vampire content, have a city where there are a few vampiers along with a story, but don't automatically have vampires walking around all over the world like they do in the Sims 4. Unless you place them yourself of course.

so you just want the sims....
Kira Von Black 22 ENE a las 3:51 p. m.
would be awesome to? yes (i play as merfolk in sims3)
would i expect it on Base game? nope. but i hope so they do.
Expansion pack? why not. just dont make it overpriced. these are the only few things that reeeealy warrants it imo, given how customizeable the game already is.

You're pretty much putting the cart before horse, friend.

Not as far as I've heard. Maybe in a future expansion. Right now, I think they're just trying to get the base game on a solid foundation.

I want a werewolf wife!
I am sure they will add it as a post 1.0 dlc.

If they plan to compete with Sims, they have to cover all the same ground or let modders do it.

There was an interview/dev vlog/trailer-ish video a couple weeks ago talking about the roadmap and some other things. In that they said they're going to be adding vampires and other supernatural things to the game. There was a scene with a cauldron that's clearly a witch theme activity going on.

So, in short, they are adding supernatural stuff. Exactly how much, they didn't specify. But I would assume it will include, at the least: vampires, witches, ghosts, and very like werewolves. Beyond that, we'll have to wait for more info.

Considering the supernatural element asked on the open post is pretty common super natural icons, it's not necessarily 'just want another The Sims'. The Sims simply took these most well known super natural elements towards a more comedic direction, so it's very possible for other life sim games to have them too but take them in a different direction.

That being said, definitely agree Inzoi have other things it needs to work on before implementing super natural elements.

Would be nice if the game did take things in a more serious direction with Vampires, WW, Witches, and Fae actually being dangerous or able to do unique things. Since sims made being supernatural a quirk or a job rather than rare, powerful, and supernatural.

Thus when you find one it is not just, oh isn't that quirky, but rather: oh, I just learned X is a Y, better (stay on their good side / avoid them / or collect evidence to let the proper authorities know.) Staring up a Town of Salem style event to convince others or get arrested for taking matters into your own hands.

Though I would not get my fingers crossed for a Shiki level of seriousness to sniffing out a supernatural. https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/shiki-anime.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=1.5

Just my 2 cents on how to make the supernatural more supernatural:

Vampires:
Leaning in the power corrupts / reveals theme. Due to being faster, stronger, and smarter than normal humans NPC vampires would typically be found as the head of a criminal organization or as the shadow of corporation. Making vampires very rare and influential figures, which makes it so the player has to climb the ladder to meet one unless they are caught in the night and escape a jack the ripper style attack.

Unlike more modern depictions where vampires burn in the day, I think it makes sense to take a Dracula approach where the vampires simply are nocturnal. While without drinking blood for a long time vampires become week and appear to age. With some supernatural abilities like hypnosis, shadow travel, enthrall, and more features depending on how much the vampire has fed.

How to find?
- Work your way up a company or criminal organization to find evidence of a vampire and who it might be.
- Get attacked when alone at night.
- Random chance when digging up a grave / grave robbing "Interview with a Vampire" style.

Perks?
- Eternal youth so long as you feed each month, though are immortal regardless.
- Low health needs due to being a vampire that does not have to worry about moral concerns. (Basically only need to deal with a very slow hunger and slow social needs requirements).
- Really good at criminal endeavors due to being faster and stronger, with hypnotism against weaker NPCs later on.
- People who are "Vampire Obsessed" can be enthralled as devoted fans that will bring you regular gifts of money. Ghouls, are permanently friendly to the vampire no matter what the vampire does to them.
- People who are powerful and old might try to earn your favor if they find out you are a vampire.
- Can stealth kill as a vampire pretty well if you really do not like someone. Though if the person does not have negative rep with the character, then the vampire feels regret (negative social hit) unless they have the psychopath trait.

Downsides?
- Nocturnal life limits what jobs you can have.
- If the wrong person finds out you are a vampire, you might get discovered. So you might have to convince, kill, or pay off the person spreading the rumors. While if the person has enough evidence / rumors a hunter might patrol the streets at night making feeding dangerous. Which could lead to a full on vampire hunt by an angry mob if your infamy is too high, causing you to need to skip town.
- Enthralling someones romantic partner, despite not knowing you are a vampire, can lead to drama or a potential social vendetta by that person whose romantic partner you turned into a ghoul / "fan."

Werewolves:
Leaning in the Beast Within theme. Due to being faster and stronger than a normal human NPC, WW would not have a proclivity to any particular job or life style due to having been cured by a witch. Making WW rare victims of a witches malice that has to tame the beast or else end up making victims out of others on a full moon.

How to find?
- Get to know someone to find evidence or listen to local rumors.
- Survive a WW attack.
- Random chance when pissing off a witch you might get cursed.

Perks?
- Slower health needs than a typical human.
- Really good at sports careers and criminal endeavors due to being faster and stronger.
- People who are "Werewolf Obsessed" can help you by bring you regular gifts of money or items that can help you control or lock yourself away during a full moon.
- Can kill people while in werewolf form on a full moon without anyone knowing it was you. Though if the person does not have negative rep with the character, then the WW feels regret (negative social hit) unless they have the psychopath trait.
- Only silver can put the beast down in WW form.

Downsides?
- Lose control on full moons to prevent people becoming aware and need to lock yourself away unless you have tamed the beast.
- If the wrong person finds out you are a WW, you might get discovered. So you might have to convince or pay off the person spreading the rumors. While if the person has enough evidence / rumors a hunter might patrol the streets during full moons to slay the werewolf. Which could lead to a full on Town of Salem hunt by an angry mob if your infamy is too high, causing you to need to skip town if you can.
- Killing someones romantic partner, despite not knowing you are a WW, can lead to drama or the person becoming an apprentice hunter.

Witches:
Leaning into the secret coven theme of witches. Due to the ability to bless or curse people with magic or alchemy. NPC witches would typically be found working in quiet places like a library, environmental job (to collect ingredients), and other such places. Making witches able to easily hide in plain sight, and may sell / offer trusted people potions that might help them or hurt their enemies, change the weather, etc.

How to find?
- Befriend the local librarian or environmental worker, or listen to rumors to find the home of a suspected witch where evidence can be found.
- Be cursed by witch, with the only way to remove the curse being to befriend or pay the witch.
- Random chance if a witch knows you they might offer you into the coven if your characters is female and the coven does not have 3 members.

Perks?
- Eternal youth through alchemy. Though not immortal.
- Slower social need loss due to Witches being more solitary.
- Potions for every need if you have the right ingredients.
- Semi-Permanent blessings and curses you can bestow upon NPCs.
- Really good at scientific endeavors, herbology, and book related tasks
- People who are "Magic Obsessed" might ask you to make potions for them or curse someone if they know you are a witch, as a source of income and positive relation.
- People who are powerful might try to earn your favor if they find out you are a witch.
- Can cause people to meet untimely demises with curses, or make people live better / luckier with semi-permanent blessings. Can protect people from and cure people of curses and other harmful magics with blessings.

Downsides?
- Witches are naturally anti-social with those who are not witches or "Magic Obsessed" gaining less social gains.
- If the wrong person finds out you are a witch, you might get discovered. So you might have to deal with them using curses to stop the rumors. While if the person has enough evidence / rumors a witch hunt might occur leading to an angry mob running you out of town if your infamy is too high. Or worse if you do not leave.
- Charming or Cursing someones romantic partner, despite not knowing you are a witch, can lead to drama or a potential social vendetta by that person whose romantic partner you harmed or charmed.

Mages:
Leaning into the quest for knowledge theme of mages, with the ability to learn magic and alchemy like a witch (though can not curse or bless). NPC mages would typically be found working in quiet places like a library, museum, or archaeology. Making mages able to easily hide in plain sight, and may sell / offer trusted people potions that might help them or hurt their enemies, change the weather, bring back loved ones from the grave, etc.

How to find?
- Befriend the local librarian or museum curator, or listen to rumors to find the home of a suspected mage where evidence can be found.
- Be the victim of a mages wrath and survive. (You may or may not suddenly get sick to the point of hospitalization or combust in flames if you irritate them enough.)
- Random chance if a mage that knows you might offer to take you as an apprentice if he does not have one. (Not male or female exclusive unlike a witch.)

Perks?
- Eternal youth through alchemy. Though may become another supernatural creature through alchemy and magic ritual.
- Can be a mage and another supernatural creature at the same time (excluding witch naturally).
- Slower social need loss due to mages being more solitary, though not as slow as witches.
- Potions for most needs if you have the right ingredients.
- Really good at scientific endeavors, herbology, and book related tasks
- People who are "Magic Obsessed" might ask you to make potions for them or harm someone with magic if they know you are a mage, as a source of income and positive relation.
- People who are powerful might try to earn your favor if they find out you are a mage.
- Can delve into necromancy to bring people back from the dead as ghosts, zombies, or as they were in life if the mages magic skill is high enough. Or just to start the zombie Apocalypse, sending a zombie after someone you dislike.

Downsides?
- Mages are somewhat anti-social and gain slightly gaining less social gains from non-supernatural related dialogue.
- If the wrong person finds out you are a mage, you might get discovered. So you might have to deal with them using magic or alchemy to stop the rumors. While if the person has enough evidence / rumors a witch hunt might occur leading to an angry mob running you out of town if your infamy is too high. Or worse if you do not leave.
- Charming or harming someones romantic partner, can lead to drama or a potential social vendetta by that person whose romantic partner you harmed or charmed.

Fae:
For the most part the fae would just be very similar to Witches mechanically, with the ability to bless, curse, and use magic. Though no alchemy, but an innate shape shifting magic to appear as a normal human so they would not be discovered, and no anti-social penalties due to being fae.

Zombie:
Aside from being a living corpse that has eternal youth and no longer has anything other than hygiene needs since they stop aging. The main downside (aside from being discovered put down by the military) would be that zombie is a thrall of whoever brought it back to life with the inability to do them harm. Though otherwise follows the general rules of a WW. Which means they go feral once their hunger meter reaches zero, which can not be sated, only reset at the start of the next morning after going feral. Thus like the WW needs to be locked away once each week unlike the WW who only needs to be locked away once each month.

Ghost:
Pretty much the same as a Zombie, though has all normal social needs. With some magic like a mage at higher levels, but if caught might have to deal with a hunter.

Hunter:
Basically just a special job that unlocks the ability for the character to buy items like silver bullets, incense, holy water, blessed salts, and other things needed to ward away, protect against, or hunt vampires, WW, witches, or other supernaturals.

Though if the number of supernaturals is out of hand, like a witch coven or vampire den. Then the hunter can gather enough evidence to get help from other hunters from out of town, or start a hunt / mob to run a supernatural out of town.

Something unlocked by gathering enough evidence of supernaturals to meet a hunter to ask to be recruited.
