Internet Connection required

Hello,

I saw in minimal requirements that internet connection is mandatory.

Can we know why it is required? (Internet should never be mandatory for solo game).

From my experience with the demo, it seems it's only "required" in the sense that they really want you to use it online with their Canvas features. It worked offline in the demo.

I understand that but I think an account can't be required to just play single player games. I really think the reason for that is data stealing to make more money.

Still hoping they do this, and for those suggesting over priced Starlink… no I do not want $500 monthly n*zi wifi. Thanks. Having access to wifi being common doesn’t change that games that are single player should be able to played offline, idk why people are being so dense about this.

I bought the game, downloaded and then had a DC. Couldn't start the game. The game said it couldn't access steam for verification.
Waited until my internet was back, started it thinking it just needed a verification for first run or some BS. Exited the game, put steam into offline and tried again..
Same ♥♥♥♥, couldn't start the game.

So yes, it's very much required.


My internet comes and goes kinda however it pleases. I had no idea this was always online. So finding that out, it was a easy refund. Shame.

I will investigate more then, maybe i am forbiding the acces to the wrong process ^^
Btw i also always say no to steam making modifications on my computer for any game.

I have just tried, by killing the Steam process during the loading of the game, and the result is that the game didn't launch, so it's using Steam to access the internet.
