annoying clothing changes

I hate how my zois automatically change clothes it's especially bad when they just change into everyday clothes after waking up it ruins my immersion and it makes no sense either especially when they just randomly change while being on a community lot. I want to be in charge of what my zoi wears.

update: my zoi just randomly changed into her everyday wear while walking at the ocean coast 🙄 🤦‍♀️

Yes, they do this a lot. It's annoying when you have them on the beach in swimwear and they decide they would rather wear jeans and a jumper. I think in Bliss Bay you could set a Zoi's summer outfit to a bathing costume - but then I guess they would wander around town like that...

Have you tried going to Options/Simulation and then turning off outfit simulation , see if that stops them

I believe this setting is supposed to simulate cloth physics, though if so they are not very noticeable (I looked this up when starting the game as I had no idea what it meant).
