inZOI
How many expected a "finished" game?? Pls give devs time...
I haven’t bought inZOI yet—I usually let early access games cook for a while. Got plenty else to play in my backlog, but inZOI is sitting at the top of my wishlist. So every now and then, I wander in here to see what people are saying.

And honestly- a lot of the threads I see make it feel like half the people who bought this game either don’t realize it’s in early access or don’t understand what early access means.

Not everyone, probably not you - but there seems to a lot of people and thats got me worried.

I’m really glad the game’s sold so well—but I keep seeing threads, videos, acting like the game should be “finished” or asking why its missing features or some narrow personal representation when basic game play is still being implemented. Than of course game journalists treating it like some political tool for their article portfolio.

My concern is that tension and demand can lead to rushed development because of negative or demanding threads not understanding what early access is.

At the end of the day I REALLLY want inZOI to be a fully realized sims game when 1.0 releases. Not a rushed, stressed community driven project. Good games take time and so does good early access.

I just hope the devs are given that space to build this game right. I'm happy its got so many players and it has so much potential, the genre needed a real life sim. I just hope they dont rush early access now.

I knew what I got myself into, but a lot of negative backlash did have me worried at first. While I do have an issue with one mechanic (welfare checks) so far I am enjoying the game. I do not expect it to be finished at all any time soon but the time I’ve spent with it so far has been fun.

My biggest hope is it doesn’t get stuck in early access like a lot of other games that get abandoned. Only time will tell but in the meantime, for me it’s money well spent so far.

I knew it wasn't a finished game easily as it quite clearly states EA on it . I played it through my own choice not because of streamer reviews . I am pleasantly surprised by how much actual content and gameplay there is in this current build of it . Krafton will continue to support this game i feel as it has already become their biggest ever game release and seller with over 1 million sales in the first week .
Yes it has bugs but that was to be expected and some other game play will quite possibly be polished and refined , They already listened to feedback and made it so ageing can be turned off by the people who requested that , although personally for my playing style I keep ageing turned on .

As far as the developers are concerned, they wouldn't have put this game into Early access if they weren't happy with the thing they created, meaning it has all the basics including an early end game if you like.

The more into early access and past that into release and with new DLC's down the line, the broader the scope of the game and its content. but unlike many other game genres, there is no end point with sim life games, it's a constantly evolving aspect with no end in sight since there isn't one story that comes to an end and now you need to occupy yourself with other ventures, you have many other stories to be concerned with, they reach their end when they die and there is nothing left to do with ghost sims(assuming they are a dead end occult), if not they can rebirth and another begins and you are constantly doing this with many sims/zois.

what is meant by broadening the scope of content is that there will be expansions into other aspects of life, more skills, more things to do in the world, that keeps expanding the more gets added, this is so no one life is ever the same as another and they can do different things from each other.

As is always the case, patience is the highly sought after commodity on the market next to understanding since an Early Access game is a beta product, it's always subject to change.

I purchased it early both to get the cheaper early access price and to support the devs/publisher. I have no doubts it's gonna be really good, you couldn't put this much work into a project you didn't fully intend to finish.
I bought it because it was early access, I haven't participated in early access games since empyrion galactic survival. After games like 7 days to die, space engineers, and a few others I could name. Made me back out of early access games for a long time. This is the first early access in a couple of years I seen that is actually worth me investing in. So no I wasn't expecting a complete game, though it sure feels like one to me. Maybe that's how low sims made my expectations even with all the expansion packs haha.
