Has anybody been able to figure out how to place items on counters/tables?

that is too terrible when i try to put the kitchen sink on counters,then I found even you can not put coffee machine on table or bar,too bad for a sims like game,hope the studio can find this problem any time soon

Yeah all my items on table such pens,dishes & countertop sunk to the bottom of the mount after saving.I hope the Devs fix this glitch

These placement issues must be bugs. I found that installing a dishwasher under a countertop - precisely like in the Sims 3 - the counter top became unusable.

When I tried to cook, my Zoi gasped, moaned, and eventually set the food ingredients in another room, and never used the available counter top over the dishwasher. (The only other spot was occupied by a microwave oven.)

So I moved the ingredients in build mode to the countertop over the dishwasher, the one he should have been using. Instead, the ingredient item disappeared, as though I put it into the dishwasher.

So yeah, there are some item sizing / scaling / placement issues at present.

It's driving me nuts. My zoi can't interact with most things cuz it isn't on a table with a chair snapped to it, but it won't let me snap chairs and tables together. Grrrr driving me BONKERS

I had the same problem and for some reason suddenly it worked. Maybe try a game restart. Good luck!

Hold Alt when you place thing that Zois will not have to interact with. While you hold Alt, you can place clutter everywhere on your lot.
