imagine paying for antivirus in 2025

Some time ago I had this same debate about paid antiviruses and when I suggested the person who had problem with a paid antivirus (already forgot which one and I don't think it's important) to get rid of it and use Windows security solution, which is more than sufficient for average user, I was called idiot for trusting Microsoft. Yet, these people are trusting their PC security to companies that are way less trustworthy than MS. You just don't get those people's logic.
