not every game should have multiplayer
to the bunch of people disagreeing with this comment: I can’t stand people who call multiplayer a dealbreaker just because they personally don’t want it, even though a co-op mode wouldn’t affect them at all. If you don’t want multiplayer, don’t use it. But don’t try to shut it down just because it doesn’t fit your preference—others *do* want it.
That goes both ways.
Also it does affect others as it means time taken away from the rest of the development of the game or things potentially getting sacrificed so they can add MP.
it does affect me as they must mold the game and shift ressources and times to multiplayer.
lol another dude who's talking about stuff they know nothing about so they talk out of their ass instead as usual,
Tell me then...
Why would a 3D Artist, stop working on making clothes/objects and start working on code infrastructure for MP?
Why would a 2D Artist, stop working on making Textures or UI and start working on code infrastructure for MP?
Why would an Animator, stop working on making animations and start working on code infrastructure for MP?
Why would a VFX or SFX, stop working on making VFX/Sound?music and start working on code infrastructure for MP?
Wait... maybe a person HIRED to code Multiplayer would be only focused on making that aspect work? Could it be? Shocker....
The only overlapping resources are Production, Design and QA, all of which any half decent software house has plenty to spare on a bad day.
