That being said, yes the sliders could be more intuitive and easier to use, does that mean they dont work as intended like some people have been saying? No. The examples of how diverse and in depth online the customization can be are proof of that. However the process needs to be streamlined, not everyone wants to go super in depth, learning how to maximize use and to create exact celebrity look alikes. Most people want diverse presets they can make a few small changes to and go.
The only remotely functional ones are for the face, and even then its hyper limited.
The body ones don't perform any "realistic" mesh transformations that translates to a real human person.
Which for a game that advertises itself on the heavier graphic fidelity, isn't great.
Where it is currently at only the Default unedited body mesh looks good, the second you start to tinker with it is create an uncanny clay doll effect.
Alot of the sliders and meshes need to be reachored and a few new ones added;
Like giving more weight and size for specific muscle groups, as well as fat deformation that isn't just adding volume to the the area.
I've played since the original and have owned literally all the DLC from 1-3 + modding them to the point that I've probably done irreparable damage to my older computers.
The sheer freedom of choice to make my creations as awful, or as beautiful, or as unique is extremely important to my life sim experience;
And just from that my expectations are... a little more refined?
I can work around some minor inconveniences, but when whole design areas are entirely absent I am going to be disappointed by it lmao
Damn that's a lot of lore
-need height slider
- chin rotation slider. To make the chin round upwards or downwards instead of just straight.
- Also Trying to bring the chin out to make it bigger also brings the lower lip outwards and it gives them and underbite. The lower lip and chin should move independently.
- the lips in general need a slider to bring each one outwards or inwards from the side
- the hair should be a bit more customizable, some of the male hair styles are so BIG but you can’t change it. It’s like not just the length of the hair its like the volume, it sits on top their heads like a bike helmet with a wig on it. Longer girl styles would be nice too
- I think being able to move the hair in multiple points like we can do with facial features would be really nice and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that feature in any game before.
- hands and feet size slider is definitely necessary if we get a height slider also.
- some more masculine/ less fast fashion looking male clothes would be nice haha maybe being able to tuck in a shirt too idk, the male shirts are all oversized, not a fan personally.
Oh yea a height slider would be quite cool, tho probaby pretty hellish to implement as you would need special animations for each height and then unique animations for different sized Zois interaction with eachother or otherwise the animations would look out of place, or well I assume as people often say there isn't one for the sims for this reason
