InZoi Steam account link?

I tried to start the game and I'm asked to link my steam account with Krafton. Is this even remotely safe? Should I manually make a Krafton account, or is this a scam? I don't want to just give over my stuff and let them use my Steam account. I know your data is never 100% safe all the time, but I am concerned about this nonetheless. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

No idea myself as I have the same concerns. Why put a game on Steam if you have to link with another account. These game companies are getting annoying.

I tried to create a manual account from Krafton and it has an error that says: "error (code:)"
Not a real helpful error code. I will not use a QR code.

I didn't link my Steam account, I just closed the pop-up and clicked New Game. The pop-up is persistent while in the main menu so you have to click New Game really quick after you close it, but it doesn't pop-up while you're in the inZOI Creator.

I can't quite remember how I did it but I think I ended up brute-forcing my way through by hitting options before the box appeared.

I'm not worried at all. In the morning, I created an account and linked a steam account through my personal account.

Lot of games do that and peoples not be so concerned usually about, link Steam account to games services or Discord integration, somes website is safe is not fully shared your Steam account but just link by API, is secure with permissions very limited. (In this case is just for check your Steam ID bound to your KRAFTON account for maybe avoid stolen your creation or identity in the "Krafton Workshop" where you share your creation, don't be paranoid.

Yea i just insalled it and was met with a login for som ID yea not gonna buy this game when it comes out

you have to do it so you can use their community creations tool canvas that lets you download player made creations like characters and houses like the sims you have to link your ea account to access the gallery thought that would be clear to people but guess not they are not asking for your souls

You have to login on ID Krafton 'cuz of Canvas, the fake-instagram social media made to share other's creations.

not only that, but google itself warned me of a possible data breach on the website. And if it legit says (optional) for the news and offers checkbox but wont let you continue until you check it. Its so shifty.....

My account was hacked recently, the hacker changed my password, and email and even removed my phone number which happened after linking to Inzoi, it may be unrelated. but the timing was sus.
Ob I've recovered my account.
