just buy a pc mac is a scam if you can afford a mac book you can afford top of the line pc.
you made your bed now lie in it
At least you can mod a real VW Beatle, good luck in replacing any soldered component in an Apple computer ;-)
That said, Mac has never been too strong on the gaming side. I love my Mac - I use it for everything, including gaming. If something is incompatible, it goes on my SteamDeck. If it won't work on my SteamDeck (most likely InZOI won't), I have a gaming PC for those times. It sucks that games (and software in general) can't be available for both but they are fundamentally different systems so you're asking the developer to do extra work to suit your individual needs. Many do, but the majority of gamers use a PC so it may not expand their platform as much as you think.
What you call "Mac", is still a PC, just one branded with an Apple logo and very restrictive measures towards the user freedom.
A PC is "just" a PC, doesn't matter what OS is running, whether is Windows, GNU/Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, MacOS X or whatever. In fact if you like walled gardens and restrictions you could still install MacOS X on a non Apple branded computers.
The thing that always defined Apple computers are exorbitant prices for their hardware, restriction towards user freedom (Apple computers are never owned by the final user, it's alwaysApple deciding what, how, and if you can do something), proprietary, and few, ports so that they force you to buy their pricey accessories and generally low spec hardware, in particular related to the GPU with soldered components you can't upgrade, repair or replace.
Since Apple abandoned Intel CPUs few years ago, the new Apple computers are ARM based, such as several new ultra portable Windows computers, which makes it an additional work to make things run on them because the code isn't for x86 anymore and since the market for those computers is quite limited at the moment there's not much to be gained on the developer side to invest in that, it's essentially a waste of money and time.
So no, this isn't like stupid console wars, this is about buying something that is overpriced and that people should already know runs mainly only what Apple wants you to run, that is generally NOT games, and then complaining it doesn't when people should have known since very the beginning, not to mention that the vast majority of people who buy Apple stuff do so as a "status symbol" and/or because they don't know much about informatics and especially hardware.
Oh and before you say anything: yes I can totally afford Apple stuff, I simply choose not to, I want my freedom to do whatever I want with my PC and I don't enjoy being scammed.
And it works great, haven't encountered a title I haven't been able to run at a playable standard yet. Granted I have a very high end Mac, but if you at least have an M1 you should be able to run quite a lot.
