From March 2023, "It will launch for Switch and PC via Steam this winter worldwide with English and Japanese language support. " So Play-Asia listed it as Multi-Language, although I got mine from Amazon JP. If you pre-ordered from Amazon, you got a +30 ATK accessory (your 3rd, otherwise you only get 2), while you'd get a +30 MAG accessory from Geo (4th, 3 otherwise).

Like 2 weeks before the JP release, Feb 29 2024, Bushiroad pulls out any mention of the English language option which screws over anyone who pre-ordered. Then they price the Steam version as 100 Yen = 1 USD, so 5500 yen becomes overpriced at $55 instead of the converted $40ish it should be (thankfully that is the Switch version price, which currently has a -20% discount for $32 until 11/22?).

July 2024, Red Art Games announces their localization. The Collector's Edition does NOT have Sword Maiden listed as DLC, and it's missing the soundtrack OST from the Deluxe Edition.

3 months later in October, then they announce the delay to mid November and that Sword Maiden is now included with CEs, so this screws over any who didn't pre-order. You'd have to do it directly from them (France?) or VideoGamesPlus Canada last I checked.

Due to the different eShop publishers, Bushiroad for JP and Red Art Games for NA, my JP physical copy is considered a different software. That means I can't use my JP Sword Maiden and ATK accessory DLC with my English digital copy. I had chapter saves prepped for all dialogue scenes to just speedrun the story in English too...
I did detail Sword Maiden's skills here

and record her special technique here (magic attack with an exclusive MDF debuff)

but she has no story lines and isn't too gamebreaking. You'd have to wait 2 months to play her in English, and by then you'd be done with this kusoge.
And the final kick in the nuts is that the English version also has Japanese text, so I don't know what's stopping them.
If I was one of those who bought it in Japanese on Steam or Switch, I wouldn't feel guilty for emulating the English Switch release.
Tl:dr annoyed with constant change of release date for physical game and may cancel my copy
