Tropico 5 no longer launches on O/S ver. 10.8.5 ????
What's up with this? Does this mean I have to "upgrade" to Yosemite's god-awful O/S? Anyone else have this issue?

Same problem here, can't play Tropico 5 anymore since the last upgrade.
And I don't want risking upgrading to Yosemite, since it's getting massive negative feedback from users.

It would be nice to have an answer from Steam or the editor ; I bought a game with min req OS X 10.8.x...

Cheers

Due to technical reasons, we had to raise the OS requirement as it's a free update.

According to Steam's latest hardware survey, 90% of Mac users are already running MacOS 10.9 or later.

Thanks for the feedback Capt Maximum

Is there any way to get back to the pre-upgrade version? Or get my money back?
Once again, I bought an OS X 10.8.5 game, which was working fine, and I can't play it anymore...

Cheers

There's a public beta branch you can use to revert to the 1.06 version of Tropico 5. This should enable you to run the game on an outdated OSX installation. Please note this branch is not officially supported and will contain issues and errors which have been fixed in the newer patch versions.
