More Decorations for your city: statues, fountains.
Will there ever be a patch with more decorations for your city? ( statues, fountains, more trees)

That would becool. Also I loved the flagpoles, and would also love some decarations that add "grit" to the cities, like grafittied walls. This might reduce the overly sanitized look of T5 cities.

I've a terrible feeling any such things would be hidden behind another paid DLC.

I really miss the individual trees that you could use to line important streets with, to beautify an area without taking up any room for gardens.

This has been one of my largest gripes with Tropico 5. Alternate building appearances, at least for houses and apartments (and no I don't just mean 'lol this one is a bit taller') as well as more beauty options like benches, statues, etc. After a while everything from the vanilla game just looks mega bland.

I agree. At least just more colors.

This is just speculation, but I begin to suspect that the reason they took out decoration options is because of the new system they're using to place buidlings and whatnot. If you look back at previous games, you'll notice that there was more of a complex grid of a block placement, like a large lego mat with many places to put blocks down and arrange them. But with Tropico 5, it's greatly simplified at the expense of creativity.
When putting down a house in Tropico 4, for example, one area that a house can be put down would be about 6 x 10 kinda (I haven't gone back and counted, but it was more complex), but with Tropico 5, it's a simple 2 x 2, making decoation placement impossible and resorting to placing large garden blocks that take up half a house space next to the hosue instead. This also results to having large chunks of ugly gaps in between buildings if you dare curve your roads in around square areas.
I'm putting up with this design for the sake of getting a larger audience, but at the time I was pretty pissed that they did this to Tropico 5. I really hope they bring back the more complex grid map for the next game because some of us play Tropico to build that one paradise city that we wanted.
