How to add your music to Tropico 5

Since it occured to me that they are posting mods on Kalypso forums but not here I wanted to share this with you guys. Adding your own music to Tropico that plays with the announcer turning the volume up and down for you as they are talking is very simple. You just download this program, create a folder in the Tropico directory called Music, run the program and put the output directory on the folder. Then your music takes about 20 seconds per record to appear there and you're set.

Hello Community,

Here i will explain u how to Play your favorite Music inside Tropico 5.

1. Create a folder called "Music" in the Tropico 5 Main directory.

2. Convert your Music into. opus Format. With this program

3. Put ur convertet Music into the Music folder.

When u want change Titlemelody then rename one File to Motika.opus

when u want Deactivate the complete Tracks of Tropico 5 then renmane Music.hpk in the Packs folder

ATTENTION: No points in the dataname except .opus

Thanks for your help. I did not understand your directions for adding music. The program you suggested was very useful. I used it to convert Tropico 4 music into mp3 and started listening to it from windows media player. Might want to make a "how to video" on Youtube as there is no video so far. You can record your desktop with Microsoft Expression that will allow you to record up to 10 minutes of what your doing on the desktop. There is also a video to show you how to use it on youtube.
