How to deal with Rebels?
How are you supposed to deal with Rebels?
Amnesty doesn't seem to turn them into normal citizens and they pop up no matter how high the approval ratings are.
And without a prison there seems to be no way to get rid of them than to wait for them to attack (which often results in a destroyed building as the army moves so slow) or to kill/banish them which enrages the people (applies to criminals, too).

I may be wrong but it seems that bribing the rebels on a regular basis has a positive effect on the rate of their attacks. I want to try and bribe their leader next.
I lost a few times because of rebel attack then found out its a good idea to build my Guard towers beside each other. A groupe of 6 in a bunch. This will hold of rebels. Then i build All Army bases beside each other so all troops get to the rebels at the same time instead of them being killed of by the rebels one at a time while waiting for other troops. Also have no education needed to be a soldier on so its easier to recruit soldiers when others die.
I have played a bit and it seems that the rebel occurence is linked to your faction support. So even when your approval is high and the people themselves are happy, when a faction relation is low rebels appear.
Yeah, u need to micromanage a bit more, with bribes, discredits, smear campaigns etc. Along with meeting needs, it's all in the almanac, just need to look through it thoroughly.

banish/kill rebel leaders, make sure to watch civil unrest meters and don't do it when you're at high unrest (== uprisings)
Militarybase, upgraded soldiers with modern weapons, tanks, Guardtowers upgraded with machine gun.
I've seen in the movies that Death Stars are spectacularly bad at dealing with Rebels. Go figure. So don't ever build one of those. Certainly not two.

I've got 200 Rebel Leaders on my island (2000 total population). Have no idea how to get rid of them :S Tried to bribe, no effect. Well, i have towers all over my island, so they never succeed. But it is so weird :S What interesting, most of them have approval more than 50, part of them even 100.

Can't you just have one rebel leader?
